I thought this was a neat idea, having the ability to grow food by finding seeds and planting them.This probably would be a element of survival that would add something else to the whole mix.The time it would take to grow would be the only factor and as I am not a game developer I would not know how it would work in the mechanics of the game.However there is real satisfaction about growing your own food IRL why not in game.The seeds could be found in houses, barns and markets to name a few.Another element would be the ability to harvest things like pumpkin patches,etc. This is just another idea but it is a neat one for sure.One thing that would be something that could be a problem would be time to allow the seed to be planted and then for the plant to grow,real time would take a while but it is just a idea. Harvesting something would be more probable.This would allow you to find something such as a pumpkin patch, etc and then harvest it for food.

I died yesterday and I respawned fine, now everytime I log in I am in a five minute timer. What is causing this?

I have logged in about 3 times and it still gives me the timer , might have to get killed.

Who would I speak to in TS not sure where to go once I am in TS.

I was just wondering if there is a chance to talk to you guys, I like to talk to a group before I ask about joining to get to know them and see if it would be a good fit. I really like the idea of a survivor colony.Who should I talk to about this?.

I like the idea of the coalition seeing that it represents so many groups. I would like to find one that would work well but I just don't know who to talk through first. To bad there was'nt a page to post a general apps for the recruiters to look at. Well I like what you guys are trying to do I will look at all four main groups, but I am always looking to help a group and be usefull.

One idea that could work and I believe it may have been said by someone else, but I am going to say it here as well . Hydroponics, this would allow players who have built a long term base for survival to grow food and continue building the base.There would be time to grow the food especially now that the game is going stand alone and things would be more permanent .I think would solve the growing food issue for players.

I think since Day Z will be a Stand Alone game now that growing/harvesting your own food could become a real possibility.

I would like to see bigger cities as well , as for trains it would be neat to see but it would take alot of work and a real outfit to get that working and keep it running.

I like this idea for the large back pack , it would allow for someone like a medic to carry the extra supplies needed.I think the trade for the primary weapon would be a fair one or else everyone would go for it.

I think raising livestock could be something added to this as well.

The reason I suggested this was to add something else to the game , I know people say this is'nt Minecraft or Farmville.Well it is'nt suppose to be, this game is about survival.This means finding food and one way was to grow it, this would take time.Maybe when this game is stand alone, whenever that happens it can support this sort of endavour .Harvesting the food or items around the map would be short term idea.

I had the problem with maintience and then I updated to the Arma2: Operation Arrowhead 1.62 and it let me play online again, I hope that helps a little.

Well good to know not the only one with the same thing, what I found interesting that people I know are playing at the same time.I thought something like this would affect the entire community.

Edit: I understand there is the error message for OA maintience then how are others playing when I can't?

Maybe there could be different kinds of radios you could find. Such as a simple walkie talkie, many civilian off the shelf models can carry a range of up to 45km as a example but you can never really be sure of the range beacause of terrain.Then there are your Military and para military radios that work preatty much anywhere within their given range.Maybe different types would be more realitic.

Maybe we could just go break a branch of a tree to hit things with at least.
