Let's get this out of the way: I just bought Arma 2 on Steam, along with OA. I've been trying to figure this crap out, but I have no idea what to do. I've logged into a few servers (can't get into some because I have ver. 1.62, not 1.62.100296, but whatever), and every time, I turn into a bird. I don't have any other mods for Arma 2. I just bought it, installed it, threw DayZ stuff in there, and every map I go to I turn into a bird, and it's really making me regret my purchase. Can anyone help me out?

Well, here's my new problem. I've verified local files in both Arma 2 and OA after getting this problem a few minutes ago, and it's still happening. Even when I open Arma 2 OA in Steam.

Windows 7. I've got Commander working, and I'm just updating everything now. Hopefully this works!

Well, we're having a bit of a problem there. As soon as I run it, I get an error saying "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance."Someone really has it out for me.
