I know this is a hotly debated topic but i wanted to bring up some good points. -dayz gun play, it's weakest point (thanks ARMA 2). the bullet travel time is an issue. Not saying its bad i like it but it has issues. I was playing and a guy walked up to me and started swinging his crowbar. So i shoot him with my AK-74, the travel time within 5 meters is litteraly nothing and my PC is fast s the shot happened immediatly but it took about 1/4 to 1/2 of a second for the round to hit him. A real Issue -Styles. If dayz had gunplay like Call of Duty it would be a whole different experience, people would need no skill to shoot anyone and this seperates the good from the bad. -Snipers. Wind should be a factor. you can hear it in game so why does it not have an impact? Within 400 meters it wouldn't really make a difference but around 800 you would need a wind guage. Possibly something to add. Well that is my rant. Comment with you own suggestoins.

really i dont know how many times i had no idea where i was mapless, and used a compass to get to a landmark (NWAF, Stary Sobor, electro, cherno, NEAF)

i agree with you on that one, But you really cant compare them they are diffrent games. All im saying is COD gunplay is TOO EASY

Most of the time in dayz cars are hard to get ahold of and if you spend a good couple hours trying to fix one its pretty rewarding. But think of all the cars in soceity today... My suggestion in dayz is this: More cars, Alot more cars, but small rates or car part spawns. Maybe an automobile repair business than spawns parts like a supermerket spawns food.

On the survivor HQ page this is where is see alot of people try to join clans. Thats a problem if you are advertising a clan GO TO CLAN/GROUP RECRUTMENT. looking for a clan post here or go there to look for ones. It bothers me half the people that post on this forum could have a better time on clan/group recrutment. Anyway always helps to check there before you come here.

basically tents need to be nerfed not have the mechanic changed. A tent shouldnt be able to hold as many weapons and if the gun is longer than the tent it cannot go inside. say a 4 foot tent can't house a 4 1/2 foot sniper

you should be able to find and attach slings to your weapons so maybe you can carry 2 mains on your back. There should be a weight limit though. Also if you find a holdster maybe an extra pistol? Or you could find duct tape and put a hunting knife on your rifle incase you run out of ammo or need to silently kill a person or zombie.

it would slow you down and you could only carry two. There would be a weight limit so you can't have and m249 and an AS50. The more they weigh as a pair the slower weapon switching would be, ADSing would be and If you ran long enough you would shake from carrying so much weigth for so long.

this is a story about some survivors. Dangerous place I know but we wanted alcohol in an apocalypse, what can I say? Anyway me and my pal mike were in Chenarus as reporters covering the event with all the world leaders. Shit went down and for about half a year we were holed up in a large hotel in Cherno. After the military had a shootout with idon’tknowwho. We’ve been seeing’ some real serious shit here. Had to take up arms and defend ourselves. We haven’t seen many people since everyone ran when it got to Cherno, so tonight seemed like a good night to lock the door and drink away the new horrors of life. I’m not going to bother with “hi my name is mike this is sausage boy” but now you know his nickname it’s because he was fat in college. But at about midnight we are both pretty drunk, our pistols are sitting on the counter and we are talking about life before whatever is happening now. Me and Sausage met in high school. Went to college together then joined the marine corp. After a few years we came home and started a small newspaper, it grew and soon we ended up following around world leaders on some tour the world conferencing stuff. Landed in a section of the Ukraine called Chenarus. And the rest is history. We wandered up stirs and a drunken stupor and each crashed in our own room upstairs the pub. The next morning hung over as hell, we searched the house for supplies. Found a military carrying vest, a Kevlar chest protector, an AK-74 and 2 magazines. I went back downstairs and opened my last M.R.E. I ate half and left the rest out for sausage boy. I sat down with a book I found and started to read while sausage took a nap. About 2 hours later I gave him the book and went to bed. I don’t know how long I was out for but I woke with him grapping a vest and the AK. He was whispering wake up and shaking me. I grabbed the Kevlar and put it over my white shirt with red and blue crisscrossing stripes. I put my tan hat on, and strapped on the knee guards I found a few days ago. He threw me the AK and grabbed the pistols. We quietly walk down stairs. I can hear voices outside. Suddenly a fire axe busts through the door and busts the lock. We raise our guns and back up. The door is kicked open, in walks three guys 2 with shotguns the other with a submachine gun. They all had towels wrapped around their heads we turned off the safeties. “No need to get hostile there sparky we have more men than you!” Yeah how would you know? I replied. “We’ve been casing the place fer’ a week I thing weed know whens yous came in here.” Really? “Yeps, We want that Kevlar you got” Not yours. “really? Well 12g buckshot in close quarters will probably knock your chest in and kill you without breaking the vest.” “yeah and I want that vest now” He swings his smg in my face, his friends point their guns at sausage. Click-click A shootout wouldn’t be good it’d attract half the city. I get ready to run. The look in sausage’s eyes say the same. The fool with the SMG eyes blazed with adrenaline. He starts to count down “5… 4… 3… 2… o- BOOM! I hit the ground blinded by blood, but not mine. SMG guy’s corpse fell in front of me shielding me from the two blasts of shotgun rounds. Sausage recovered from surprise of me not being dead fast-and shot on of the shotgun wielding punks, jumped on the other, I tried to push the body off me to help him. A sickening crunch as the handle of my friend’s gun smashed into the head of the last guy. I could hear footsteps. Running. Many footsteps I slung the AK over my shoulder and grabed a shotgun. Sausage caught the drift and pocketed his handguns and picks up the SMG. We sprinted across the road to the office building. And at the second floor landing we heard: “stop I shot that guy but I don’t know your intentions.” comment and share your opinion so my stories get better. thanks for reading

the tavania server I play on is great! Too bad the average number of players is 5-18 There are a lot of cool things on this server like ospreys, and vodnicks, UAZs with Russian 50 cals on them. if you can fly there are multiple ospreys at each of the airfields. the server is called joe's zombie shack see you there IT FKING ROCKS

This is a kind of explination for dayz. I may write stories to tie into this. “In 2014, a Russian town called Alexandrovsk Disappeared, literally gone. There were Rumors of alien activity although no one really paid any attention to that. A week or so later The Ruskies made an official statement-A large cavern under the town filled with mud caved in sucking in the town and its residents. The mud had filled up to the surface leaving no trace. They lied. A week later several nearby towns all reported Walking dead. Only one account was very descriptive. Here it is <May 18th 2014 Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk> Federov, Anesia At dawn we saw three people amble over the horizon. They walked slowly towards the city. As they meandered around the outside a police officer and 2 doctors with an ambulance when out to help them they looked pretty disoriented. One of the doctors promptly came back in the ambulance without the others. He Drove directly to the police station and rushed in. The other doctor and cop were meandering around the city limits with the first three. I pulled out our American bushel binoculars and tried to see what was happening. They all had blood on their faces and were walking funny. A group of police cars drove out about 100 meters from them. An officer with a bullhorn started to yell at them, it was the second to last mistake of his life. This last was not pulling his gun as the things attacked him. I had my children pack up one suit case and we left. That’s why we are here in Moscow. What happened after that? <Male speaker> The whole Sakhalin Oblast was overrun after a few weeks <Federov, Anesia> Really, the whole island! Did anyone else get out? <Male speaker> The whole thing was quarantined, and you and you children are going to be locked down we think you might have it. END It turns out she was a carrier and soon all of Russia was a dead zone as we call them now. It spread, fast the Ukraine almost bit it. A section of the Ukraine called Chenarus had multiple world leaders there, some tour the world conference stuff. Anyway wrong place, wrong time. They all had a company or two with them, tanks choppers all that. As Europe slowly was overrun Chenarus stayed semi-safe. In the western hemisphere the governments there were taking drastic measures to keep anyone out. They deployed anti-air systems around the coast to keep out any incoming flights. Boats were patrolling waters so ships couldn’t get in. The US got so paranoid it nuked the tip of Russia and Alaska for safety measures. This unfortunately was their undoing. People rallied row boats, fishing boats, anything and made it across now that it was unpatrolled Most of them died because of fallout. Meanwhile, in Chenarus things get interesting. It’s now winter almost spring. A group of terrorists believing the US was still Z free rallied all its members and headed from Kiev to the Chenarus area to mass kidnap the diplomats there. Once there it was their numbers VS. Trained soldiers. In the end almost everyone was dead and survivors, bandits and heroes roamed the land trying to survive. A nearby island called Namalsk was overrun also. Because of its cold climate something strange happened. Before communications were lost. There were many reports of An invisible thing moving around killing people and sucking its blood like a vampire. On the Tavania Island many tried to get to the safety of the offshore oil rigs. Shortly after no one was there, No trace. There were no supplies there, blood or bodies it was all just gone. Before we neutralized parts of the area it was a bloodbath out there. At first people set up camps to help others, then snipers killed innocent people that had nothing on them except some beans, all the while the death toll of Chenarus went up due to the zeds. Some groups made it north and geared up on military supplies from military zones, bodies and heli crashes from the fighting with the Kiev terrorists. I lost my leg to a zed 20 years ago or so.” “How did you get zombies out of most of Chenarus?” “We survived, I guess. I was in a coma on top of a fire station. When I woke I was in a camp. “ “What happened?” “I don’t know they never told me.” “Who are they?” “Your friend, your neighbor, your brother, anyone… they risked their lives again and again to bring survivors here.
