Uhh... has everyone at Battleye died? I sent in an email about a global ban November last year, and even with an email almost every month since then I am yet to recieve any reply... support@battleye.com is still their email right?

Thanks for the answer. It's just irritating when I've had to wait this long for nothing. I got banned on Arma 3... was accused of hacking (I'm not going to argue with anyone on whether or not I was hacking. I didn't and I know that, I don't have to make anyone else believe it) and I put up with it, it was unfortunate but I didn't play it much anyway so it was just a waste of money. Then I bought DayZ standalone when it came out a while later and played it for like 15 minutes, came back to it after a month and I was global banned. So lucky me.

This could go both ways for one person. It could show off some creativity or immaturity, and it could also be dangerous. Less likely to happen spending so much time on a car but if someone were artistic it would suck to just be finishing off then get headshotted and get your vehicle stolen. Then there is the immaturity of genitals everywhere.... I always wonder if every male in my school is a homosexual due to the amount of genitals drawn in their books, on the buildings and even on their bodies. So for creativity and expression it could be a good thing. And it could also be a bad thing. Maybe it could be an option for some servers and I sorta like the idea. But it is also a bit risky.

That would just be splended.

This topic is somewhat famous so I haven't read everything. So I don't know if this has been suggested but if anyone has played L.A Noire. When you pick up evidence you can study it. I haven't heard much about the stand alone and what's being put in it but if it is using a different engine, and if a wallet is put into the game, maybe being able to study the wallet properly and to look over the ID, like how you can customize faces right now for Arma, where you can change the face and put on glasses and such, maybe have a photo of your face on the ID, and the ideas of being able to see how long the character survived up until the point of death... stuff a long the lines of that. Basically a real ID with things changed like Date Of Death and I saw on the first page there being signs of how the death occured by blood on the wallet is death by zombies and the bullet hole thing, I think was a great idea.... and the idea of collecting ID's and such.... All in all I think it is a pretty good idea.

Okay.... To start this off sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.... I'm confused as to where to make this topic... I had to make an account for this problem due to how confused I was. Before I get accused of hacking, I haven't... Yes... Sounds extremely dodgy and no one has any reason to believe any of this crap... I know... I understand... Ok well.... I run Arma 2/DayZ or whatever and BAM. Wrong CD-Key... nothing but that.... Just a wrong CD-Key put into settings or something along the lines of that. No error, no try again later. I tried updating Arma again, still the same problem. I know no one can do anything about it but I need an understanding of what just happened. I know it must be a bad idea posting this here because I'll most likely get "Nothing, you're a filthy hacker scum" but like I said I'm not a hacker... I hate hackers to bits. I spent 4 days gathering a DMR, a M9 SD, NVG's, a car and enough supplies to venture the map to then get my car blown up and shot in the side of the head by a hacker. I completely hate them. But right now I'm more pissed at the fact that this has happened. So is this the end? Because I can't really put my trust into this game by buying it again no matter how much I loved it. Again, I know no one can do anything about it, but I'm just confused.

I couldn't do what the instructions said to do.... Couldn't delete Key or anything... Do you think maybe my key either got stolen or banned somehow? Sucks if it did -.- If it did I guess I'll live.... stuff happens and I'll have to wait till the stand alone comes out. And again, thank you for all your help. I am really grateful. This topic has probably been brought up but instead of going through hundreds of topics to find it, why not start another one because I am annoying Q~Q Delete it if it's bad D: BUT. Idk. Anyway. I was just thinking of what to post and then I thought. Wouldn't it be funny if you could run around with a top hat, and long ass curly moustache, dem' Harry Potter glasses happenin'.... track pants and a tie-dye Tee with sandals and socks to complete everything.... Now I don't mean full on APB: Reloaded customization.... But maybe some added in clothes, maybe jackets for cold areas and more thin clothing for more hot areas. But if the Hero and Bandit thing is carried on this could also be a problem.... So in my eyes this could be a fun, awesome and creative thing to do, but it could also be very very confusing to know who could be good or bad. Then again if you KOS it doesn't really matter.... So any ideas or am I just having a wet dream? ;)

I see. I like the idea of collecting things a long the way, but also maybe and option to keep the clothing even after death, or keep multiple clothing items out of the game in an inventory (not trying to get closer to any other games out there) And for the pre-customization I was thinking that, and maybe the idea of an inventory.... But less likely that, and keep the actual clothing to an ingame thing, and possible different dye's....

What if there could be a pre-customization thing before entering? But what do you mean by automatically getting them? EDIT: My bad... Do you mean by in the mod automatically getting the outfit by getting enough humanity points? Because that is something that should be worked on for realism.... No doctor in real life gives someone blood and instantly turns into Superman... Unless it is Superman.... Because he is real and all...

I just started thinking. When you die you get to choose between female and male. But what if you could also maybe choose Hero or Bandit and have different clothing for the two. It's just an idea that could be worked on.... But also the idea of finding own clothes and swapping on the spot, though less creative it could show off your findings and whatnot... If this were to happen there probably wouldn't be much choice but it is better than nothing. Like I said, nothing like APB.... That would basically be waaaaay too much.

Thank you both so much for the help. I tried verifying the files but unfortunately I still got "Bad serial given in setup" and I doubt reinstalling will help. It seems my serial is no good..... But thanks for the help anyway.... I'll buy the SO for DayZ when it comes out but I wont be buying Arma again. I don't know how this has happened but I guess lifes not fair~ But thanks again you two, you both have been more help then what I have expected :beans:

Well "realism" and "game" don't really match no matter what. Even to most simulators.... Like you said, nothing can beat real life. Even Microsoft Flight Simulator.... you fly into the ocean and bounce right back into the air.... That is of course if they haven't done something about that. I haven't played it in about 3 years. I think in my opinion. Backflips in helicopters = Most realism in Arma 2. Most. Realistic. Thing. Ever.

And by that.... Literally.... It is easy to do a backflip in a Little Bird. I was stupid and tried doing one in a Mi-17.... that went well.

Congratulations. Now do 7 backflips in a row in a Little Bird. Trust me, it's easy. I mean, even in real life it is super easy to do a backflip in a heli ;D Super realistic and all~ But in all seriousness, I couldn't even fly a heli up until a couple days ago because I thought "Tutorials are for the weak"

I see, I was curious because I doubt I would randomly get a global ban for no reason due to it being more of an engine thing and not getting a global ban message. I'm not actually sure how to check the file integry... or really what it means :o But tomorrow I'll try reinstalling, it's too late to do it now, I don't really like leaving my computer on all night.
