High Risk is what makes the game fun.

Try a lower population server, it's probably not what you want to hear, but some higher pop servers with 10+ people in cherno, tons of zombies, and private hives with maxed out loot spawns are obviously going to have some lag. If you are only trying on public hives, try on private ones (and vice versa).

Just use Fraps, it's your best option for recording any game. Its only $20-30.

It takes a strong person to stay on the path of justice, and that is why many succumb to the ever-tempting side of banditry. Oh, and I hate how everybody who kills on sight is now referred to as a "bandit". A bandit is, by definition: a robber, especially a member of a gang or marauding band or an outlaw or highwayman. Real bandits actually have the skill and guts to hold someone up. Not sitting on top of a hill shooting defenseless players. Exactly my point.

This is not mine! I'm just recommending it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet, as it models the DayZ adventure perfectly. Made by CorridorDigital, two really cool guys that are awesome at video editing. If you haven't yet subscribed, I would highly recommend it.

I like this idea, but it would just be too complicated for the developers. If you took the sights off one gun, they would have to add it to yours, then delete the scoped gun's entity and respawn the correct weapon without a sight, all while checking if you have the right rail or not. Even if they tried to put this in, there would be too much lag, and too many dupes involving this, and they would probably end up removing it. It's not a bad idea, I just think it would be too difficult to apply to the game. Although I think there are scopes (by themselves) that will be in the SA, so there will probably be a twisted version of this in the SA.

I don't believe so, it just applies a .png file overlayed onto the map. I don't think the logs capture that. If somebody is spamming markers on your server just turn them off temporarily.

To update to 1.7.6.1 just select that in the DayZ Commander sidebar and hit "Install" Other than that I would suggest downgrading possibly, under the dropdown menu just select a different patch number.

I would be good at all of the above, anything you can fit me in. I know good land tactics and can handle a weapon well, I am an experienced medic and pilot, so anything is ok for me lol.

Machete is probably the best melee weapon, while it does the same damage as a hatchet, apparently you can swing it faster. But overall, hatchet is much better, if you can find animals you have infinite food.

You don't even have to redownload them, once you've played for awhile you'll have the past few patches and it literally takes less than 5 seconds to install. And sorry for all 3 of our answers, you might be kinda pissed right now but this is the only way I know of.

Actually, the only thing I heard was that zombies are spawned in at server start. While I'm excited about this (zed-free servers anybody?), I'm afraid they will have to have loot respawn or else that would be detrimental to gameplay. Think about it, an organized team goes through and clears both airfields and stary sobor mil tents. Besides deer stands, which have rather low percentages of good weapons to spawn, they literally have control of the map and everyone else who logs into the server is going to have to take hours to find a military weapon.

Have you tried a different server? It might be a server-side glitch or it might just be turned off altogether (not sure if you can do that).

I can see where you're coming from, but unfortunately this idea just wouldn't work. On servers that have a several-day or even a weekly restart cycle and a semi-high player count there might literally be no loot in some of the cities. So at one point, if you logged into a server at the wrong time, it would be near impossible to gear up (once the airfield is cleared out, there might be little to no military loot left). While it would be realistic, there comes a point were realism gets in the way of fun gameplay. Personally, I would much prefer the latter, but some hardcore gamers want nothing but realism, so for them it would be perfect.

Because the entire population of post-Soviet Russia is all males. And they all look exactly alike.

I like the NPC's too, the fact is that while it is much faster to gear up this way, it also produces a challenge, so people can't just loot cycle forever. This is why Taviana is my favorite map (and the abundance of vehicles)

IMO, if everyone has access to a so-called "cheat" then it's not really a cheat, just a gameplay element. Go play on veteran servers if you don't like 3rd person
