We are going to be playing an several servers, one is our main survival server, and another is a giant air to air combat server, however most of these are private hives (not connected). While main hives are useful, they fall prone to combat loggers and abusive admins.

There's not much you can do, it sounds like the server owner is a total douche. The best you could do is just find another server and advertise people to stay away from that server, and find a better quality server to play on. For me the TMW server and Balota Buddies servers are some of the best ones out there. Browse the forum, there are many popular servers.

I don't really understand your second question, but in regards for your CD key you just have to hope for the best. If you do get global banned you will just have to buy a new copy. In the future don't download any suspicious programs (a.k.a. DayZ hakz or strange, unknown ARMA 2 mods)

Who wants to play as a zombie? The AI sucks, so you would pretty much just die instantly.

This is what makes finding a vehicle special. I actually prefer walking unless I find a bike.

I'm sure this has been suggested already, but I couldn't find a recent topic on this. Now, I'm not talking about throwing the current hatchets in the game, but a smaller version. Of course it might be a 2 hit body shot or something, and there would a significant of hatchet drop (bullet drop) and some inaccuracy. What do you think?

Object AII is the most famous (and one of the only) underground installations in the game. And everybody camps that all the time to an extent that it's impossible to get loot. Good idea, but it just won't work.

Make sure you are up to date with the most recent patch. If you are on the most recent patch, downgrade to the previous, as servers have to transfer over to the patch and that takes awhile.

Even though I am a hero, I have a high amount of respect for real bandits. And I'm talking about highwaymen, people that rob you, not just people that KOS. Don't even get me started on Cherno/Elektro snipers.

Hey, for one let me just say that I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but there have been a lot of recent topics on global bans and I just hope I can clarify some things. Anyone who is posting about getting globally banned, unfortunately there is nothing we can do on this forum. The only way you can repeal a global ban is by contacting Battleye, you can do this by visiting the "Support" section of their website, which is have linked here - http://www.battleye.com/support.html and follow the instructions listed there. Unfortunately, Battleye is pretty strict on matters like this. If they refuse to repeal, you are just going to have to purchase another copy of ARMA 2 via Steam or an alternate method of transaction. If you think your CD Key was stolen, don't download shady programs from the internet *cough cough DayZ Hakz on Youtube cough cough*

If you're that anxious I would just buy the mod now, they are releasing the standalone later in the year and that probably will be much better than the mod.

Did you log into a different server? Tents don't transfer over private hive servers.

Have you tried reinstalling DayZ commander?

Of course all of the buffs would have a max, say you can only increase the speed by 20 mph, so you can't get OP cars (300 mph car chicken game anyone?)

Crowbar actually does less melee damage than the hatchet, making it utterly useless. Crowbar: 1389 damage Hatchet: 4500 damage

I don't really see anybody making their car louder, but still good ideas.

It has separate servers, however there is a large learning curve that you should be aware of. If you're just starting out I would try wasteland, it is imo the best gamemode for arma 2 (you just login to a wasteland server and it downloads the mission file). Wasteland is pretty much dayz without zombies, there is much more action in wasteland than in regular arma 2, the game was just too slow for me.
