I completely agree. Now I might just be biased (I am a hero), but what strikes me as a good bandit is one who can get people's loot without killing them. I find that people who KOS are just taking the easy path out of the situation and taking all the fun and exciting moments out of the game too. While I am a hero, and I don't enjoy people who just KOS, I respect bandits like you who don't just follow along with 95% of all players. Oh, and welcome! I hope you enjoy playing as a hero as much as I do.

I was not aware there was a new map, was this released for public servers or is it just a custom map?

We will be on a low population server (for the meeting) but it has to be on the hive.I'm open to any suggestions for servers. We will switch to a high pop server when we go around saving people (which is why it will be on the hive so we can still have our stuff)

Would you guys like to use teamspeak or a large skype call? Also if you have any empty teamspeak server please let me know, as I would prefer that (less backround noise).

Any asshole that does this doesn't deserve the hero skin. It's supposed to be hard to get. That way bandits don't go around screwing with people's heads. The hero skin is a status icon that you helped society in some way. Not used an exploit to get it in 5 minutes when other people have waited hours trying to get it legit, putting their life on the line to earn it.

It's lazy people like you who just want Rocket to give them all their shit. The whole point of DayZ is collecting loot, not whining that you can't find something that's rare and almost never spawns. THAT'S WHY IT IS RARE. If every player had NVG's then nobody would want them. The whole reason they are rare and hard to get is because you have to spend months looking for them before you find them.

They are extremely rare, and even rarer after the patch. Your best bet is to fly around in a heli at night and look for new spawned ones (they will be on fire, so they are easy to spot, especially with night vision). Walking from the beach to the airfield is such a small percentage of the map you will almost never find one.

What server would this be on?

I play on a Namalsk server called "Coke" and it has custom loot, tons of vehicles, and no hackers that I'm aware of. It has a nice community too.

Can you elaborate more (vanilla server/private hive)? from my understanding you were flying in a heli, and the server restarted and the heli was gone. In that case it might have been a glitch and the heli could have just respawned.

The AKM does 4500 blood damage, and all guns that use stanag (M4, G36, etc.) do 3555 damage. This means that the AKM will knock someone out with 2 hits and kill with 3, and the M4 will knock out in around 2 hits and kill in 4. And in most cases a knocked out person is a dead person. If they increased weapon damage that would make the AKM a one hit KO, making it OP compared to sniper rifles (one hit KO but fast fire rate). If the AKM killed in 2 hits that would be incredibly overpowered, meaning you could take out players in literally one second. Although I do see where you're coming from with the submachine guns getting buffed, the fact that the mp5 (non silenced) takes around 13 bullets to kill is ridiculous even with its relatively fast fire rate. Meanwhile, some lmg's and sniper rifles are one hit KO's, making SMG's almost throwaway weapons. So yes, I think the SMG's should be buffed, and maybe the pistols, however the pistols only a little, keeping in mind they are sidearms, not primaries. Shotguns do fairly decent close range damage, so I think they are fine for now (while they are not commonly used, increasing the damage would probably make them OP, and everyone would use slugs). Just my opinion, feel free to revise it if you wish.

The British Assault Pack he is wearing is only obtainable on Namalsk. That and the fact he spawned with a ALICE pack proves that, even if this is legit, it is on a private hive and under normal circumstances this would rarely ever happen.

The irony of this is nearly everyone on this topic says that they would help them out, (I would too :P) but where is this reaction in the actual game? I rarely encounter people who don't shoot at a moving person, let alone a down and weak one. Just thinking out loud here...

Since Chernarus has suddenly recieved a boost in votes, we are again going to meet on that map. I already have chosen a meeting spot, I will message it to you guys on Friday. Any excess vehicles or weapons/backpacks you can provide would be awesome. Also we have a shortage of medical supplies, so if you have any you can give to the team I would much appreciate it.

Adding on to this, another reason why you would want to do this instead of check the spawns is even if you do find a vehicle near a spawn, you will have to repair it, but if you find one a player has hidden, most likely it will be fully repaired and have some gas, saving you some trouble. The best spots to look are in the woods up north.

I'm sure there are sites that allow you to host one, as well as you can run it on your own pc. I haven't looked into it much but PM me if you need more help. I like beans too. :P

If you are on the server that has a long time between restarts and is mildly popular, some of the vehicles get destroyed. That and keep the bike, it's by far the best vehicle in the game, quiet but fast.

I will play on Namalsk, although I play on Taviana more now because Namalsk just got a ton of crap added like nuke thing and bloodsuckers. As if surviving in the goddamn snow wasn't hard enough. I usually play on the COKE server, PM me for more details.

Is the tire still in your inventory, or does it dissapear? Did you relog?
