Hey there, Not sure if this is due to an inaccuracy or having been the victim of a hack, but here goes. When: 21 June @ 10:40am (GMT+10) Where: ANZ 3, northern wildlands What: Expected - Spawned in Darkness, alone. Unexpected - spawned at a great height, hit the ground and died instantly. Didn't even get a chance to flick on my NVG's to see where the hell I was! I logged out in a safe spot, and there were no buildings+zombies or other players around me (that I knew of) who'd have killed me just after logging out. So sadface.

You've got valid points there, however you must look at the way the game is being designed. Communication across vast distances is not possible with the kit you spawn with, so it stands to reason to remove the ability to chat on global channels. The easiest way to ensure you're able to communicate with other players while in game is to join the relative server's Mumble/Ventrilo/Teamspeak 3 server with the people you play with. I'd strongly suggest you do, as in-game chat is slow and cumbersome. The only saving grace that ArmA 2 has is it's Direct Communications channel. That being said though, with certain admin tools Squad Channel text is made visible to the admin rcon terminal if you're in need of assistance. It's a bit odd that I find I need to eat at least 3 times a day in DayZ. Survival books will state that you can survive for quite some period (weeks!) on little to no food, though this period is affected by your activity levels, too. I'm surprised raw and cooked steaks don't go rotten. Would be a thought to implement.
