I searched DayZ Commander last night for good servers with third person off and found none. I'd like to start a server with the following preferences: - 3rd person view off — can be used to cheat - Crosshairs on — this is particularly useful with for example the crossbow and just nice to have - Side channel and death messages on — makes it easier to grow a community That's it. I guess the aspects are somewhat debatable, but it's a vanilla server. No mods or self blood bag or auto-refuel. Would anyone be interested in a server like this? Would you like to be a part of it then? Thank you, John

My favorite weapons are the AKM, Sa58V, L85 HOLO, Winchester and Lee Enfield. I also like the CZ550. The best gear I've ever had was probably an Mk12 (STANAG sniper rifle on DayZero), night vision and the like. I've had an M40A3 as well, but didn't get to use it.

I'm currently trying to become a hero on the official hive. On the official hive, I try to have good humanity, while on private hive servers I play more with my friends and don't care as much.

Hello everyone, My name is John, and I have played DayZ for about half a year now, and I was thinking of starting my own private hive server. I'm tired of jumping around servers, not knowing what to expect from them. I'd like to host a solid, reliable Chernarus veteran server, with good admins who want the game to be played fair. Equally as important, the server would need a solid community. First off, which server host do you recommend? Hosting locally is obviously not an option, because I need reliability, which I can't provide myself. DayZ.st have good rates and seem to be solid, but do you have any other tips? Secondly, I've been thinking about how to build such a community. Is this type of server too common, or is it something desirable? Would you want to play on a server like this?
