Its usually when I hear the shots directed at me or when I hear footsteps or eating it makes me jump. If someone shoots and its not directed at me I will usually not be bothered.

What would be cool is disadvantages of having longer hair. Say you start with short hair, and gradually your hair grows and if you have longer hair then zombies are more likely to grab you or knock you over (like in The Walking Dead game by Telltale), then items like kitchen knives, scissors or pen knives produce different hairstyles if you cut them with it. Almost like the can opener idea, so better hair with scissors and worse hair with kitchen knives.

To be honest, your title is rather inaccurate. That is not what one describes as a good pc, also its possible it is to do with ping and servers. Otherwise is correct -
The ability to somewhat costumize clothing. Much like blue leaders idea, but say you could get some dyes and dye and arm band so you can distinguish each other, and even maybe in future a small insignia for each group. Would be really cool. Maybe arm bands could be red if you were a bandit and blue or white if you were friendly.
