The SAW and most LMGs require you to change the barrel mid fight due to an overheated barrel (sulfur rounds especially make barrel swaps necessary) that's what the little handle is for :D A barrel change on a rifle is also useful before and after combat for example if you were planed on engaging targets at a longer range a longer barrel would be what you'd want, but say after words you had to make your way trough a city, that's when you'd make a quick barrel swap to a shorter barrel.

I'v posted this before I think but, backpacks now have a weapon limitation attached to them, for example the 8 slot backpack has no weapon slot, so even though you have enough room for a pistol, you still can't carry one in your pack, this is what makes the Coyote backpack Superior to the Czech, as it has more weapon slots. (Coyote has 6, Czech with 4) Also note, that even though a pack has weapon slot, this doesn't mean you can put a weapon in your pack if you don't have room. Primary weapons still take 10 slots and sidearms 5. So a Coyote can only hold 2 primaries even though it has 6 weapon slots, but you could instead take with you 4 Pistols and 2 tools, (tools count towards the weapon counter) were the Czech would only hold 4 pistols and have no room for tools even though you have 4 remaining slots. In the end the difference is almost unnoticeable, unless you just looted a camp and are hoarding as much as you can back to your own base :D

yea also DayZ+ the zeds do 2k damage per swing, ouch!

ME all the time, why? BECAUSE I CAN. But jumping in game or no won't do much any way...

6 weapon slots means you can only store up to 6 weapons/tools in your pack, however it does not gerente space for those weapons. Example 6 weapon slots= six maps in your backpack, you now can't add a 7th even though there is room. This is also why the lower backpacks with more then 5 slots still can't have a pistol.

If your playing on DayZ Origins it's legit, if you aren't then it isn't. Mega pack (40 slot) and Traveler Pack (32) are Salvation city only rare loot.

The Standalone needs a poop off switch for servers :D I don't play PC games to poop, i'm just saying...

There is camo netting on most servers that have base building, and Celle has a loot drop that is a sniper tent camp thingy. Also DayZ+ has camo netting as a loot drop, and is used to make camo nets of different scale, such as for a single tent, a few cars, or even big enough to cover a good chunk of base :D

I like to play PvE, it's more of a game then, and the "Anti-game" thing is all good, but there comes a time when the adrenaline just stops and it gets boring...Just the other day I was playing on a PvE server and we formed a 5 man team and went smash-and-grab looting (landing, 2 mins to get gear, then leaving) it was really fun, had a few laughs. Though I highly recommend that any PvE servers consider DayZ+, Namalsk, or Origins as your map, since they have more things to deal with and give you some extra goals to fill the no PvP void :D.

My server is going over to DayZ Origins and I have a few questions neither Google nor Bing could answer. 1. Can you actually make vehicles or is that false and what they mean by survivor vehicles is that they were made by the people before you bla bla back story? 2. Can you customize your vehicle? 3. Is there base building, if so what can you do? 4. I read that there were more skins and that also included female skins, however i'm unable to find proof, so can any one confirm female skins? 5. How buggy/laggy is Origins now, I heard its very buggy/laggy but it was supposedly fixed? 6. How would you rate the map? Thanks in advance for any info!

Was it an Admin ban or Battle Eye ban, because it can't be both. If the txt is red that just means they are the Admin of that sever.(this type of ban is a per sever thing) The only servers I know of that an Admin can Ban you globally is the testing servers and it says *YOU WILL BE GLOBALLY BANNED bla bla bla stuff and things* (I haven't played on a testing sever this was just what I was told) And I know you didn't say you were globally Banned so once again no worries, just find a new sever.

Well 1st off your going to need to learn which you can enter and which you can't. 2nd your best bet for a gun at the start is a Firehouse, easily located in Cherno or Electro. The best thing you can do is get an in game mentor to help you out, the next best thing is http://dayzdb.com Good luck!

That MAY be a hack but it also may just be a bug... surprised he didn't flip it though rofl.

Some P.Servers are bought and maintained for the soul purpose of being *THE Admin*. It's a power trip they pay for, but not long till every one and their dog avoids it like the plague. Just find a new server and ask around how the Admin is, of course you have to survive the encounter. Or you could ask the question on side chat if they allow that, but then it's much less discreet lol.

If he's the Admin of a Private server i'm not sure there is much you can do. Also it doesn't sound like he did anything harmful other then startle you thus giving away your position :o

Sorry if your Server doesn't have a website, and the Admin doesn't come to these forums often *or at all* your S.O.L. That's why I have my servers Email address.

If it was a private sever and you, yourself didn't actually do any of the scripting, then you should be fine and you will just be banned from that Private server. Also Admin bans are just banns from that sever. Next time I recommend aborting whenever fishy things start going on.

I think the SA will have some form of note's, no idea how it's being implemented though.
