OK so after getting Arma 2 CO and all the goodness running and after running them both to make sure they work i go to www.dayzcommander.com hit the download button near the bottom *underneath the donations* and it pops up about 8 seconds later saying i need to download .NET framwork 4 client profile what is it? I tried downloading it from Microsoft but after i hit the button it says my net isnt working for w/e reason...but yet my other tab works fine...(ironicly was Googling .NET frame bla bla on the side xD) Am i screwed? is it easy? is there another way? will a zombie come to my house and eat my brains because i'm tech illiterate? Thanks in advance for any help!!!!!

just finishing up my download for Arma 2 CO and need to know a safe place to DayZ commander! Also wondering if that gets me the DayZ mod as well as updates to current patch? I'm new, and kinda slow at this tech stuff, but as soon as its all good and i can play I can stop posting so much on these forums asking all the Q's! (which I searched for first of course and it always seems to come up empty or useless, my search fue is weak but the power of the force is strong :D) P.S. please also check out my group/server request thread if you wan't a new{b} friend! (Pro chopper pilot B)...no seriously I have 5 hours of chopper demo time :blush: 1 crash and that was my cats fault I swear :rolleyes: )

you know whats creepy? that actually happened in RL close to were i live, it was during the ice storm here in Washington was the most creepy thing i'v ever seen (in person at least lol), though they weren't flying they were all in the tree's, and all over the fields...at 1st thought they were mud...till i noticed them moving around and up in the trees lol...didn't have a camera which was a bummer but at least we got hot food at Arby's instead of freezing our ass's off at home :D

The 1st one is the one i tried 1st, don't know if i can use the 2nd one since i'm assuming its for 64 bit? as i run with 32 bit (roflmao yes my PC blows but it still runs arma 2 smooth as silk oddly enough) either way i'll try it out tomorrow morning i'll post results here after I try it out, and now i need a zombie fix so i'm off to RE6 Mercs mode on Xbox :D

I'm a nice guy (for the most part BWAHAHAHAHAHHA) and I mainly play support roles in MMO's and FPS's, In this game's case i'm a pack mule/medic/minion/sniper/spotter/chopper pilot lol! (Been playing the steam demo each day for chopper practice) I'd prefer a sever with GMT of +10 +11 or +12 since this would mean daylight for my normal hours of play but also means that if I feel like it, I can log earlier for a night time experience :D My GMT is -8 or pacific standard so a server with 100> ping would be great though if i'm SOL i'd settle for higher pings... You can disregard this if your looking for an OOber leet player, because this is also going to be my 1st shot at DayZ, but I am a quick learner and fallow orders *most the time any way* and have spent way to much of my time as of late learning up on DayZ. I'v seen this in more detailed server listings : Loc= USA, Diff= Regular, Map= Customised Chernarus, Slots= 50, TZ= GMT+4, 3DP= ON, CH= ON, NP= OFF, DM= ON, SC= OFF, PW= NO, WL= YES What does that all mean? Obvously Loc= location of the server Diff=difficulty Map=duh slots if duh gmt is duh 3DP took a while but thats 3rd person yes? but what the hell is the rest? CH? NP? DM? SC? PW? WL? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Yes you can use an Xbox Controller, I just got the game so take what i say with a grain of salt :D Its PERFECT for chopper piloting! I have never crashed a chopper unless i was being a ditz lol HOWEVER I leave it at the corner of my keyboard and use my mouse/keyboard for everything else, since the movement and aiming is smoother imo. Driving is almost the same so I just stick with keyboard jic i need to bail. *Note I use a wired controller not a wireless!*

I NOW HAVE IT DOWNLOADING! However I forgot about needing a mic so that comes next week! (next wednesday at 6:00pm pacific time to be 100% exact lol) EDIT: Using xbox 360 controller + mic yay *don't worry not using controller, just for the mic :D*

Ah what I meant was do you have Bandits to kill lol, or if it was just you guys on your server VS zeds. Since I don't have the game installed yet I can't use DayZ Commander to find servers or info, and found your server info on that page was very vague as for GSC same issue not finding server info i'm looking for such as GMT=? Start pack=? day/night? 3rd Person (ON)? Though from you guys i did find the Diff was vet not req, but if every thing else checks out I can deal with that lol.

Are there any US Servers that are reversed day/night cycle? I'm new and I think playing all the time only at night sounds...frustrating, and I don't want a sever that gives me free NVG's or a free gun for that matter, just the basic's for the best DayZ experience :D

BSB sounds cool but you don't have servers in the time i'm looking for, and unfortunately my time isn't very flexible atm + i'm aiming more for a reg server on the 1st map with a day/night cycle D: As for the 1stNRF well I don't see any server info at all but sounds awesome...1 Q though~ Do you have bandits? Military coordination seems a bit much for just zeds :D To recap looking for GMT +10 +11 +12 either of those 3 is fine, that way suns up during the week and if I can play earlier I can see what nights all about! NOT a bandit but being a bandit killer sounds fun :D I'm a chopper pilot, just don't ask me to land perfect on a roof or dodge a rocket...yet...lol I can snipe with the SVD *in theory as i know how the scope works blasted demo won't give me a chance to use it QQ Diff REG, 3rd person (on), day/night, basic starting gear (no guns or rare stuff like NVG's) normal amount or near to it vehicle spawns want it to be rare YAY moment when I find my 1st car :D WILL NOT join a single bandit, WILL join bandit with a group of 6+ with 33% or less being bandits. WARNING! i'm new and want to kill zeds that will ware off after a bit for sure, but its still worth the disclaimer xD

lol you'd think so huh? i'v always been a bandit killer and the guardian of the newbs, though i'll be the newb this time rofl. I don't think its much to brag about though since it was only PWI and that game sucks bad now...FTP=give me all your money, and while your at it your house, just for this shiny sword! BF3 Medic/Sniper/engineer(best damn chopper pilot EVER), SW:TOR 3 tanks and 3 healers 1 sniper, PWI assassin(gatta kill those newb killers!), TSW heals/tank,Resident evil Raccoon city medic/biomedic, Resident evil 6 medic skill :D see a trend? lol.

Played around on it a bit after reading a crap ton of easy fix's and tried the easiest thing 1st...and it worked lol, my HDMI cable was overheating for some reason, now that i'v lowered the graphics from OOBER high to worst possible it works fine no more freezing YAY! now someone loan me 30$ so i can get the game loaded already rofl... being unemployed sucks wanker!

I'm having a similar Issue just playing on the demo for arma 2 OA, after about 10-20 mins screen freeze's and a random effect, 1st time was just running around like a tard learning the game when it froze up, could hear the game and even move my cursor (which was now my pointer surrounded by a red doted box) and I also could not exit the game or do anything at all so i had to turn my PC of holding the power button. 2nd time was learning how to drive lol, froze completely and had green line's all over the place like it was trying to go night vision or somthing, except they were solid neon green. 3rd was flying the chopper, was the same as my 1st time... 4th and last try was 1st mission, ended the same as 1st time... besides the almost guaranteed crashing i was running the game very smooth and for 10 mins at a time having a blast lol, any help would be awesome, unfortunately I terrible at knowing whats going on with PC's...may need *SUPER DUMBED DOWN* instructions :D

I think that this is a cool idea. Though i'd suggest more of a Walking Dead style, we are ALL infected, but only turn once were dead! This would make head shots more effective then ever as it not only is 1 shot kill but prevents reanimation, were as being killed by bleeding out/being shot in the body only kills the player and has them re-spawn as normal but 7 seconds later you have that players body coming after you! Also as some one mentioned it would make it harder to find your gear after dying as your body could be chasing some one and is now 3 miles north of were you thought it was lol,suppose people could troll you or even exploit with this due to having the zed as a personal pack mule...but it could still work.
