Just want to let you guys know if you trying to update through PlayWithSix or DayZ Commander they're still on version 1.1 and not version 2.0 since I guess there still testing it. Thank you for providing the link so now I can try the newer version of 2017. Edit: I did what OP said but none of the 2.0 servers appeared when I launched OA, (Not through a launcher -- they do when I check on PlayWithSix but you can't update it to 2.0) anyone have any suggestions of what I need to do?

Guy above me is right, your only chance I would believe of being real highwaymen or close to it would be to play on a populated 2017 server. Cars are rare and the best weapons are the Lee Enfield, Remington, and Revolver. Survival is way harder but I like it a lot more. Since survival is harder and only low powered guns are available it's a lot easier to do this stuff.

Okay this just happened a few minutes ago. I'm in Berezino with my mates and we just joined this server. I was at the military tents trying to get like an AK when a guy drives up in in something similar to a Ural or VS3. I knew he saw me so we started circling around this one vehicle then I started running away trying to get out (it was nighttime). I duck and realize he's seen me when he starts shooting so I keep running when then he breaks my leg. Takes him about a minute to find me and I decide I might as well go off fighting so we fire at the same time and I kill him with my makorov in the head while he fires three shots with his m16. Edit: The guy came back and my friend shot him in the face again in a tense prone fight.

I do have a massive arsenal of weapons, easily able to load out a squad. I play on a large populated Taviana server where you constantly see death messages in chat so you can expect action. Though, I might have to retract this statement if I am able to get more of my gaming buddies to stick with me on this server. And I guess if anybody is reading this and likes Taviana message me and I might have room for you to join me and my guns. :D

Those are some pretty good tactics. I started reading a book today about small squad tactics and most of what you mentioned can be found in there. One tactic I found in there for smoke grenades is to throw it where the enemy is positioned so that they cannot see your own advance (or escape). This would actually work in DayZ and the only problem would be your ability to throw the smoke grenade close enough to them. Another great group tactic is bounding or traveling over watch (Google it) since it reduces the chance that if someone gets fired upon not everyone will die and you can counterattack the enemy.

Honestly, as long as there bandits who have a honor code or don't KOS on sight-which is rare-I'll respect them. I was in a constant death match today with two bandits who were shooting at anyone who would go on Dubvo Airport in Taviana. I finally got it to end when i convinced them to take what gear they wanted and leave me what was left (both of us constantly dieing was getting annoying). I was gonna get the gear but I decided not to when I was lucky and won a loadout because the Admin was doing trivia questions. Now I'm gonna team up with a guy and hunt these bandits down cause there nothing more then bambi killers.

Pretty cool ideas, I play on a Taviana server and I since I already got end gear I thought I'd try doing something banditry for the adrenaline. Anyone got good lone wolf suggestions for being a bandit? I was thinking maybe highwayman or just be a contract killer which would be interesting.

This is an awesome server guys, started of my first day by tricking one of the faction guys and killing him. Now me and a buddy started a war with them and we'll probably now be able to get into the other faction. This server is awesome if your okay with killing people, all we need is more people on it so we can have some interesting fire-fights. :D

Hello dear survivors of the world known as Taviana. I'm looking for a small group of people (20 Max) to join with on Taviana. I admit I am not the best survivor out there but I am mature and friendly and will only kill others in self-defense. I do have teamspeak and a microphone so communication will not be a problem. I mostly play on weekends and maybe an hour or two during the weekdays. My timezone is EST and I hope you consider adding me to you group of survivors. :)
