Ok so just recently in dayz as I have had some issues. The first one I noticed was in berezino when the gas tstation blew up the smoke looked fine, until I zoomed into it. Then it was just two massive squares with visible pixels inside. The same happend when I had to shoot someone in the head, the blood had the same weird texture. The second thing I have had caused me to exit the game due to it being problematic. Running last berezino I was running up a hill, when every so often it'd flash white, and drop my fps down, then come back up. And it kept doing that every so many seconds. Another thing I have an issue with is that when I start the game, op the main menu is always grey. I have all the buttons, but the screen behind it is just grey. Has anyone got a fix for any of this? System specs Amd phenom ii x4 945 Evga gtx 650 to boost sc 8 gb memory Win 7 64bit My dayz settings generally are on their absulutly minimum, as the game is near unplayable with them on anything higher then low.

If you log out with broken legs, is it supposed to kill your character off? As it did to my friend.

No more then three months in and already attempting to disappear, what stands for dayz in the future, doesn't look good. Kinda getting worried that all people who invested in the game are going to get shafted.

Has to be the as50, ended up with -700.000 humanity on my last server I ever had an as50 on.

I think I solved it, fiddled with some settings. 40-70 fps.

I usualy run maxed out, apart from post processing and antialiasing. I running off a usb hdd because my internals all died, and am now running windows off a 60gb ssd, with not enough room to run dayz, the usb is usb 3.0 meaning a 6 gobs transfer rate, similair to that ofa sata 3 port.

The 650 ti boost sc is actually marginally better then the 660, that's why so many people reccomend it. I understand my cpu is a little old and I feel that maybe what's keeping me back :), but can the external hdd also drop the fps?

Hey guys, I'm an old vet of dayz, played it too long haha. I recently upgraded my gpu from an old 550 ti to a 650 ti boost sc But haven't noticed an fps change really, infact, my fps seems lower, it's think that has somethingt o do with moving my dayz from an internal hdd to an external usb 3.0 hdd. But I usualy either get a solid 30, or I drop to 10 ish. Is this something wrong with my rig, or just the game. Amd phenom ii x4 3.0 ghz Gtx 650 ti boost sc 4 gb ram 1tb external hdd usb 3.0

Unfortunitly the server i play currently seems to have no type of admin or mods on it, ever. We basicly looted stuff like as50's and thing along those lines, is there anyway we can get into trouble for having those?.

So, me and my friend were just walking around and happen to stumble accross 3 helos,and a tank thing, with some medical boxes full of .. well everything? for obvious reasons.. pot of gold crate with everything in it we couldnt turn up an opertunity to stock up on some stuff. But what is this ive never seen it? been around a while never found this type of thing before. We left the helos as their no use to us. Any ideas anyone?.

First osprey i ever seen was a pain in the rear end on sight. Was just looting a couple crash sites when i hear the engines going, i take next to no notice, until i see the thing hit the deck around 700 meters off me, i look round shocked to see an osprey dropped by the sites. Within around 10 seconds on it being on the floor 2 guys open up with rifle fire, i immedietly hit the deck behind a crash. Next thing i know im swarmed by zombies and sprinting away, as i look over my shoulder to see whats going on, i notice an "irregular" bush, and think to my self "thats not right". Next thing i know that "bush" opens up with 7 rounds of what seemed like M4 shots. Next time i see an irregular bush, im shooting it -.-. Good thing he killed me, i was going to make a round trip and jump into their osprey :P And that is my story of an osprey.

Well i have GTA IV metro 2033, and SC2, all run pretty damn well in all honesty, usualy 70 FPS + "i havent tested GTA IV since i stuck a new CPU in" nor metro. But the arma 2 scenarios work at 90+ FPS, its just dayz really.
