In my opinion games like Ark, Minecraft etc. were made to have base building system that fits in game just fine. However in DayZ any form of base building freedom for players except for easily 'flattened' tents will result in trolling. Saw it in DayZ mod Epoch etc. (bases around NWAF that looked like trailer parks, locked down high value loot spawn locations, troll buildings all across the map etc.) PS. I personally will build bases/walls around heli crash locations, so that heli crashes will be inside my wall/base I think. PPS. And of course every feed shack/hunter stand will be locked as well :D

Persistent loot and random heli crashes will make DayZ 100% better then it already is. Hopefully this is coming with .58 patch.

No. Anyway uninstalled Windows 10 and went back to Windows 8.1 The little performance boost in DayZ (or maybe placebo effect) is not worth my freedom and privacy that is taken away by Windows 10. Also my computer would not run the newest games with DX12 anyway and I mostly play old games or emulators (and DayZ, Diablo 3).

FInnaly got the WIndows 10. First thing noticed is that Windows 10 spies on everything you do and I mean literally everything, not only it scans which files you open with which aplication but it also records data from your camera and microphone aswell as it uploads every image or video or text file you used to microsoft database for easier sharing with "friends". Windows 10 is basically Facebook: The Operating System. But does it run DayZ better than Windos 8.1 for me? A little. Most noticable thing is that it changed the 1.5 second freezes that occure for me sometimes into 0.5 second freezes :D

If you logged out at the airfield it is possible that you got killed. Your character stays in game for ~60 seconds when you log out.

I had it with my old PC and DayZ It "fixed" itself when I reinserted the CPU and re-applied thermal paste. Had to do it every 2-3 weeks and after like 6 months my old PC died.

Hmm... Players who choose to Kill on Sight are like those who choose to play as Rogue or Mage in Warcraft. Players who try to interact with others are Warlocks, Shamans, Warriors, Paladins, Druids, Hunters, Priests and Monks. And the DayZ is a PvP server...

I think height should stay same for everyone. Almost all bandits already choose to play as african-american (sometimes as the girl for smaller hit boxes) for natural camouflage. And seeing all bandits being 5'6'' to that will be lolz overkill.

Females should run slower, get tired faster, could lift less weight, have more recoil while shooting and bleed every month. Players shorter than 6' should not be able to get items from top shelves. Some players should have spawn with AIDS and die randomly, some spawns with bad heart or asthma. Reduced vision because some need glasses. Some need to find pills for them or they will die. ...nah, realism sucks.

If my character happened to be shorter than 6 foot I would jump off the crane right after spawn. Not gonna play as a manlet.

I think he mean that with naked eye you can't see further than ~1km. But with scopes you can I believe. -

Well to achieve that, firing the gun must have been locked if you are not in iron sight mode.

Yes. That's why I put the hip firing between the quotes. What I mean in real life to look down the iron sight is easy and natural while in game, at least for me, it is clunky and annoying, so the "hip firing" kinda like simulates that you do look down the iron sight without making it so clunky. Just like looking around in real life comes easy and natural but in 1pp server it is very tiring and annouing process and 3pp camera kinda makes looking around just as natural and easy as in real life.

Well, at least for me, in DayZ, going into iron sight mode is really clunky and annoying, and "hip firing" is solving that problem. Just like 3pp camera is solving lack of peripheral vision. The new swaying "super accurate" crosshair makes the game really fun and smooth for me.

When I play on no crosshair servers I always have a small piece of duct tape sticked on my monitor in a place where the enable crosshair would have been. And I use it as improvised crosshair just like the crosshair would be enabled. It gives me the advantage of accurate hip fire over the suckers who do not have improvisade crosshairs or go in iron sight mode before shooting.

Maybe some single player tutorial zone will be added in the future where you'll learn the basics of the game. Like Arma boot camp or something. -
I love the new crosshair it is great, finally you know where you gonna shoot without Call of Duty iron sighting.

DayZ mod soundtrack is really spooky, I had to turn it off after like 2 minutes because it was making me too nervous.
