Exactly, and I would like to point out the lack of phones (only phone lines are mostly used by the military, connected to now ex military airSTRIP not airPORT), the outhouses and the white tnaks with gas (no running hot water for many homes), lack of canalisation, manholes etc etc. Big ass american supermarket and stores are totally out of the place.

I understand that for someone who lived his whole life in 1st world country that never had Communism it will be hard to imagine that but those supermarkets that you see in DayZ are how real life supermarkets looked like in 80's under Communism and to late 90's in post Communism countries,

So for now all weapons of DayZ have stopping power of zero. However it would be nice if when you hit running guy he would fell on the ground.

Low FoV is pro. I never could spot anything on NWAF but since I entered 1pp mode with max low FoV I finnaly spot and kill people in the forrest around NWAF way before they spot me.

Fog that reduces visibility to 100 meters would suck. I saw it on one of the private server with some fog mod. Do not want.

In the thread was also mentioned that overpowerness of heli is from how easy it can find tents, vechicles and transport players, combained with how easy is to maintain a heli. But that is regular (3pp) server issue mostly as on 1pp only server (hardcore) to comb a map with a helia actually takes a lot of effort and you can't do it while going 350 km/h. -
I think mosin or/and mosin bullet need a stealth buff.

I don't get it why is that a hardcore server issue? Becouse people can't peek inside the building with 3pp camera?

Well that's also possible. on the begining it took 2 shots from m4a1 to kill a guy, so I had fun double tapping people. Then the damage absorbtion by items was introduced and it was 2-4 shots to kill. Now it's 4 shots at freshpawn and 6-8 at a guy with lot's of clotches on him, specally when he has vest.

Yeah people flock to private servers becouse they have higher rate of restarts then official. Rarely private/clan server is up for more then 1 hour and often restarts few time in 20 minutes whehn admins and his squad is re-arming at Balota. -
While introduced mosin killed with 1 shot in any part of the body at any range. Week after that systematic nerfs happened. It took 2 shots to kill in any part of the body, then it started to matter if you place this 2 shots in legs or torso to kill. And now to kill someone with mosin you usually need at least 3-4 shots. Personally I often tank 2 torso shots from mosin in military buildings while chasing mosin guys with my 30 mag AKM.

That could be hopper you know. Basically servers with 0 or 1-10 players are not empty at all, they have very, VERY, high traffic of server hoppers jumping all over military coumpounds. So while joining server with 1 person in 5 minutes there can join and log 10 and more server hoppers all over military zones. The guy that killed you in military zone on low pop server was on 99% server hopper. -

Best is to play on adminless official servers like DayZ DE, DayZ UK, DayZ US, DayZ SE, etc etc hosted by Fragnet, GameServer, Deluxe something etc etc. Admin of private server always *always* always will abuse the little power he has, temptation is just too strong. PS. Check this out, server kick for everyone while admin and his gang is looting military zone and is attacked for someone accused for hacking/glitching http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/201000-ingame-integrity-protection-for-standalone/ This or similar thing happens on all private servers, not mentioning "no join" servers taht are reserverd for admin and his friends as loot farms. -
I can't tell for 100% but such launch code can't be found. Silo missile launch code is known partially by commander of the silo and other part of the code is known by pressident/some other high ranked commander in headquarter of the country. And when it's time to lanch the missile they tell the silo commander the other part of the code via "red phone" Noone know the full code for safety reasons.

Call of Duty apart, but I do belive such missiles can't be launched just like that, they need maintenance to be operative and most important the launch codes that are usually only in the head of some high ranked commander.

Just curious, how often are your characters alive for more then 3 in game hours?

I think I saw some rattish creature on one of the devs videos. It was kinda like jumping mouse or something.

I know those feels. But for me those feels start after my character has been alive for 1 hour+
