They're password protected because they're in the middle of a game. It even says on the website that once a game starts the server is locked until it finishes.

I pray to the Almighty Bean God that they lock out modding from the SA for quite some time. Its getting tiring trying to find a good server among the "8 QUADRILLION HELI SPAWN WITH M4A1 HOLO SD M203 SELF BLOOD BAG 420BONGLORDxX360NOSCOPEKINGSXx EPOCH" servers.... Edited because the forum is derp and posted without me hitting enter.

Give me one logical reason why gear destruction will delay KOS

Nothing will stop KoS, its not possible. People will always shoot first ask questions later because its a video game and there's no consequences to killing someone. Item degradation/destruction would do more to dissuade KoS mentalities if they're implemented with scarcity of ammo/weapons. If I have a Lee Enfield with a few rounds and its degraded to the point where it's likely to just fall apart when I pull the trigger I'm less likely to take a shot at some random survivor I happen to see while running through the woods and maybe save them for when I'm being mobbed by zombies. -
Pretty much this, used to be TONs of good servers, now its just Wasteland, DayZ, and lots of CooP. If you're fine with Coop and want a realism definitely can't go wrong with 7Cav. 173rd is nice aswell, not as realistic but they allow sound mods.

I'm alright with bandits and KOS and all that nonsense, people will play how they want to play. But honestly, getting held up and/or kidnapped is more fun than running around then suddenly having a bushwookie dumps 2-3 AS50 mags into you from 100m away.

I...I don't even.....what? What kind of a world do you live in where a .50cal is designed to take out a tank? Light armor and cover, yes. But a tank, not that I've ever heard of. EDIT: Also, there is a difference between putting a bullet into a tank and taking one out.

Landing an Osprey with the landing gear up. Seriously, I landed like a dainty butterfly and burst into flames. -
Do you even Littlebird? Sure, it can't take a hit from a 5.56 but it turns on a freaking dime. But yes, removal of .50cals. Yay. Now we just need damage hit boxes so that getting domed isn't the only way to put someone down in one shot. EDIT: Or instead of removal, replace it with the KSVK. Bolt action iirc, no magic zeroing, and it makes sense given the post-soviet setting.

Having my friend eject out of my Littlebird while I was moving and completely FUBAR it.

That'd be my kill from earlier today. Driving my pickup around with one of my friends when suddenly an AS50 shot rings out. I bail and run like hell, car explodes killing my friend. Turn around, see him fucking around with zombies at a gas station. 2 DMR rounds in the chest from roughly 800m. Run over, take his gear and his heli.

Chernarus or Lingor. Lingor just has a cool feel you don't get from the other maps, everything else is deciduous forests and mountains while Lingor is a (relatively) flat area with some thick ass jungle.

Well that's a stupid philosophy. I've got friends with comps that average 140 ping, should they not be allowed to play the game? If you're hitting excessive numbers like 500 then sure, but not 120.

I find I tend to gravitate towards Myshkino. Quiet, very untravelled and within 2-3km of everything I could ever need....barring a hospital of course. But we have UH60 wrecks for that.

Heres my tip, NEVER go back. If you go into an area planning on hitting certain areas for supplies, never deviate from that plan. I've been killed so many times because I've been on the way out and thought "Y'know, I should check that building over there. I mean, nothing bad has happened thus far."
