Its an FPS issue. If hes getting lower FPS than you he'll run slower. He can trying lowering his graphics some to see if it helps.

Not sure if it was a hack, the most unfortunate event of lag I've ever experienced, or an amazing Mosin sniper. But earlier today me and my friends (4 of us) all randomly dropped dead with no warning. No gunshots. No zombies. Nothing. -
Mm, if they tweak loot spawns, add more zombies, and make them more threatening it may hinder your playstyle somewhat.

I logged in, discovered that my pants, vest, shoes, and backpack were missing. While trying to get some new ones I ran over a rock, broke my legs and had to respawn. Just another day in Alpha.

Friendly is just something you say so you can hopefully get the first shot in.

It probably installed some version of the next patch. Which is enabled on some server that you prolly don't have access too.

Its sounds like a good idea in your head but consider this. People bitch and moan enough about KoS on here as it is, imagine if everybody has the potential to be carrying a bomb. Everyone is going to shoot each other the second they see someone. And don't forget the part where having a bomb means you can blow up the major loot spawns (Barracks, Prisons, ATCs) to your hearts content.

Today I saw the most people I've ever seen on DayZ. And it was 6. In Balota. Honestly, once you get 2-3km north of the coast its completely barren. even on full 40 man servers you never see ANYONE. -

Yeah, sounds about the same experience I've had with fresh spawns. Right now, my friends and I basically run with this rule. If it has a gun. Its dead. If it has a melee weapon. It's dead. If it has nothing. It lives till it comes near us.

I fell into a river that wasn't in A2 and found a little cow feeder/thing in a field next to some trees. Unique stuff is there, you just have to look.

What exactly do ballistic helmets stop

A Ballistics helmet will stop/reduce damage from glancing blows. Not a 5.56 or a 7.62 straight in the head. -
Personally,I grab two bambis and drag them out to one of the industrial barns near Elektro. Give them each a kitchen knife and make them fight to the death. Winner gets full blood from a saline iv, some food, and a canteen. But I'll have to try this sometime....

Wait, you have dead bodies that STAY? The hell, if I shoot someone or one of my friends dies the body disappears after like 30 seconds... EDIT: Also, came here expecting detailed information on sound agricultural practices. Left slightly disappointed.

Now? Not even slightly. Unless I'm an unarmed fresh spawn they are pathetic. 1 shot from ANY firearm and they go down no matter where they get hit....

You are some kind of genius. Honestly, I just use the military gear because it has SO MANY POCKETS and I have a tendency to pick up everything I can. I seriously have an M4, FNX, and Mosin on my character right now with ammo for all 3.

Pro tip for gun hunting: They spawn in the top rooms of hospitals and schools quite often. Usually Mosins but the occasional M4.
