It's a sandbox game. If I want to play a sociopathic killer who cleans his gun with the tears of his victims and dines on their flesh, I can do it. If I want to play a giant carebear prancing around giving everyone hugs and flowers, so be it. I shouldn't be punished for playing how I want, in the apocalypse if I kill a number of people I don't suddenly decide to dress differently. I can't look at someone and go, yeah they totally enjoy kicking puppies and babies or know that they love long walks on the beach and deep tissue rubs. Stop spouting shit in the name of realism that is unrealistic as hell please.

Today, I filled my stomach with water. Ate a box of cereal, can of sardines, and two packets of powdered milk. No healthy. Sat around for a few minutes thinking that might help, nothing.

It'd be nice if you could spawn in any town on the map, coastal or not. Right now spawning in Solnich, Kamy or Elektro is getting boring...

I prefer difficulty curves that look like this. Scribble out EvE and replace it with DayZ if it helps.

Fishing, maybe a few fishing boats to drive later on, and turn down the ocean noise. I get it, its big and majestic, STOP RAPING MY EARS. Also, on the carriers. I doubt one'd get close enough to run aground and if the mainland was lost I'd imagine it'd nope off somewhere else instead of just sitting in the Green Sea.

Good lord, tried to help one of my friends get into the game last week. It took him 30 minutes to find a road sign whilst in the middle of a god damn town. Once we tell him which side to put the coast on and start running to meet us, he starts randomly giving us status updates of his surrounding (road, hills, trees, small village, 95% of the map) after we reach where he started with him nowhere to be found it turns out he went the wrong DAMN WAY. So we tell him to stop moving and we'll come get him. Once we finally get there, we give him a can of food and a bottle of water and go north. HE GETS LOST 5 BLOODY TIMES BEFORE WE REACH STARRY. WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF 4 OTHER PEOPLE THE WHOLE TIME. And the end of the night I faked an engagement so I could empty as many rounds of Mosin ammo as I conceivably could into him just to vent my rage and frustration

Honestly for an Alpha in its, what, second solid week of development it feels better than I'd have expected. It works fairly well, with the occasional case of getting ArmA'd (should we call it getting DayZ'd now?) The maps been expanded Pretty much everything you see is enterable Loot spawns and zombies need work obviously And complaints can help with development, that's true, but posting 50 topics screaming at the devs for an issue and how not having it fixed right now makes them horrible baby killing monsters isn't as helpful. If you find a bug, bug tracker it, search function to see if someone has found a solution already, and try to keep calm when posting please.

You want an auto run key? Take your index finger, hold down W. Now with your other hand take a key not on a key chain and wedge the wide end between W and 2-3. Remove index finger from W You now have an auto run key.

Worry about AI and numbers before making them stronger and faster.... Also, considering bases in the mod were covered in dead bodies I'd assume these are infected and not the undead.

I think the handcuffing and hold ups ended when everyone started combat logging if someone spoke to them. Don't blame the bandits, blame your fellow survivors.

What else are you supposed to do in the mod right now? Play Barbie with your character? Waste a never ending supply of bullets killing zombies? Stealing someones pants, force feeding them disinfectant spray, and leaving them to die gets boring after the millionth time.... So, we go down to Balota and shoot each other. Rinse and repeat.
