A simple idea: after the log-in the player cannot take anything for 10 minutes. Obviously the spawn of a new character isn't affected by this block. So we can't stop the server hopping, but we can make it boring :)

Zombie mod? The problem of Dayz is that zombie aren't the focus of it atm. They lose them role in the game cause bandits take it. Here's no way to play the game as a zombie survival cause all the players (even a newbie one or a veteran one) shoots on sight. Is that good? I don't think. It's about 2 months that I play DAYz, I've got alot of fun playing it, but now it's a little bad: when you spawn and run into a city you're dead 3 times on 4. So, what's the point of this? I see players sniping only for fun (I look them for a while ... and they kill without going to the corpse looking for something), in Elektro, killing noobs without equipment. I think this can make new player stop playing DAYz and this isn't a good idea. We've to suggest something to make the way of the bandit fun (as now) but with some consequence or we risk that players left the game.

I think here's only 2 big problems in the game: - Zombies are not the fun of the game: they're part of the scenario, objects that it's better to avoid than to interact with. - Players shoots at sight cause if you don't shoot first, you die. Be a bandit it's the best way to survive and here'snt way to play fair. I know that the mod it's an experiment, and I know that the experiment is too create the most real simulation in a zombie apocalypse but the two problems over here make the results of the experiment a little bit fault (IMHO). So I want to suggest to make the zombies again an active part of the game (hoping that this give at the player something to do instead of kill the other players) and create a malus if you choose to be a bandit. Here's some way to make it: - Put water/food only on zombie body. When a zombie die, the more zombies are near, the more a food/water item can spawn. This can give player a reason to group up and kill all of the zombies in a city. OR/AND - Put water/food only on market and fill markets with zombies, alot of zombies. Want to eat? Group up and clean a market from zombies. OR/AND - Make the zombies sense the evil: lower your humanity is, greater sight/hear the zombie have to you. Want to be a bandit? Ok, no problem: but zombies can see/hear you better than a normal player. OR/AND - Create a military-npc-controlled area, with weapon/items spawn. Military NPC automatic shoots on bandit players (bleach, I don't like this suggestion :D) Sorry for the english, but I hope that my suggestions can make the game better :)

NO It's not good due to the zombie super-sight. I think a good way to manage this is to give at least a melee crowd bar :) -
This is a strange version. It's about 2 months that I play DaYz and this is my impressions about 1.7.1: I love the zombies increased damage, finally they're again a treat for players. I love the zombies sight I don't think that zombie spawn it's good (if you shoot 1 zombie you've be overcumbed by 120 zombies).. too much and make the game unplayable The start w/o a weapon it's not good. So bandits now can easy kill everyone, better than before The problems then: - Low fps - Alot of zombies, alot alot alot - Zombie hit through wall

Goodmorning survivors, goodmorning devs, I know that my english is not so good but I hope that it can be understandable for all :) First of all I've to thanks for this mod cause it gives me sensations that I never felt in a game: the atmosphere, the suspence, the fear of being killed even if I found a very good loot: simply wonderfull. I see that the best way to play this mod is with friends/clan mates: you can plan an attack to a structure, defend a point of spawn, explore the map and try to don't die in 27 minutes (:D). So the target of my tread is: how to insert clan/guilds in DAYZ? I see here's some clan but the only plus of being part of a clan in DAYZ is the tag before the name. SO the first question can be: how a clan can be inserted into this mod? First of all I think that we need a "money" that can be used to create/modify/upgrade, and this money (that I simply call "Z") can be a mix of "time spent in DAYZ" (1z=1hr in game) and "zombies killed" (1z=10zombies killed). With that "money" it'll be possible to do: - Create a clan-base: with a cost of XXXXz a clan can create a base, that is a build in-game, positioned where the clan want (obviously some restrictions are needed) and where clan members can spawn. The base can spawn things (read after), can be looted by everyone, can be defense by upgrades. - Generate item-spawn: with a cost of XXXXz the clan can buy 1 spawn of item (I think the different type of items determine different costs of bought.) - Upgrade the base: every upgrade can have is cost, upgrades can be alot different and various: fence, walls, doors, turrets, zombie-guardians. - Pay the rent of the clan-base: based on number of team members each month a clan need to pay an amount of zMoney to let the base survive: if the quota won't be pay, the base will be destroyed. If the costs of everything it's well planned we can give to all player a new objective of the game: get "zMoney" to create clans/help their clan. I don't know if this is a good or a bad idea, I only hope to see in this tread suggestions and idea for understand if here's a way to insert clan/guilds in DAYZ :)
