Friendlies exist. I'd say it's a 50/50 split, but unfortunately a great number of the playerbase think being nice is unconditional and will put themselves in situations were someone has dominance or feels threatened or cornered. Then come here and bitch about it. However, there are a great number of assholes on this forum and game. I call them for what they are, sadistic sociopathic assholes that have finally found an outlet for their sheltered insanity. Then there are people who just want PVP, and the distinction is rather clear. I'd say this community is a diverse group, but you can't just put blind trust in someone and give them the opportunity to strike you down. Naivety is what kills so many people, and they are corrupted into bandits themselves through frustration. It's a vicious cycle, but you don't have to be a dick to survive.

They've improved massively since release, but for now are definitely placeholder. Pathfinding is good, and they no longer phase through walls and can be locked indoors. They aren't necessarily a threat alone, but large numbers of them can be a great hassle and possibly result in injury/death. However, large numbers will only ever be encountered in larger cities. They are better than what people give credit, but still need some massive improvements.

My theory is that too many hyped up idiots testers are hopping on the servers V3S hungry, and crashing the damn things. I managed to ride in one for roughly two minutes before a crash. The crashes are killing my excitement.

That was my problem with the thread, that it's titled and worded as if the OP is trying to get some kind of reaction of it.

This is what I dislike about the hardcore community, is that a good number of them want to force it upon us. Can't 3pp players and 1pp players just shut up and enjoy what they have?

Thought about joining some Exp and going on a cannibal hunt, but it's just too late right now and I could use some shut eye ;)

Is there a specific reason why the devs aren't clear with the lore? I'm tired of these small mistakes and people having to dig through ArmA 2 websites just to get some rather out of the way background. Is this going to be addressed, or nah?

That's fucked up, dude.

People assume that the melee works like every other game, but it doesn't. Every weapon follows a unique path, and you ALWAYS need to aim with the swing, not the dot itself. The center dot is for firearm hipfiring in CQB scenarios and for picking up items. Also, circle strafing is the best way to kill a zombie with the weaker weapons. I've invented a tactic for killing zombies with axes. Stand sideways, facing away slightly from the zed that's charging you. When they come in reach, swing and back step and catch them in the chest/stomach/head. Then follow up with a hit to the back, while they're still turned around. Gets them every time.

I've been to one similar event with the Burnaya guys, it was pretty sweet. These do however run the inherent risk of griefers showing up and ruining everything, but it's a risk I guess.

Calling it lamecore alone is what I took issue with. All it is a different viewing method. Then he insulted me by saying I was insecure/uncomfortable for playing 3pp, when in reality 1pp has just as many problems as 3pp that need to be addressed (aka; viewing height, FOV, head bob). You can't act like there isn't a certain degree of elitism within the 1pp community.

I was pointing out the obvious, that you prefer first person. Doesn't mean you have to act like you're any better than someone else. It's the same thing with PC vs Console, you support your platform, not be a passive aggressive asshole that acts like his preferred platform is any better. And now you've thrown an insult towards me, which is just immature. 3pp players look at pixels differently. Big fucking deal.

You just contradicted yourself. Acting like the way you play is better than everyone else (aka 70% or so of the playerbase), makes you an elitist and a douche. Instead of constantly flaunting it, why don't you just simply state "I play 1pp" instead of "fuck you, I play 1pp and I'm better than everyone else".
