You can get a 7750 and a 6100 with some decent ram and mobo for under 600 easy. Unless your that poor, its achieveable.

The consoles GPU is equal to an HD 7770/7750. I don't think they'll be locked THAT low. Plus, they only need 30 FPS so higher settings can be achieved.

I've complained about people with very nice computers playing on very low settings before, and I can see why locking certain things might be unfair to people with low end PC's. But lets give an example; One time, me and a friend were heading into Stary Sobor to loot the supermarket for some much needed food. I had a mid end PC(GTX 650 Ti, i7 3770) and had everything either High or Very High. We where coming out of the tree line, when I hear my friend start shooting. He tells me he killed a guy, and it took me a while because he was very well hidden under the grass and shadows with the ghillie suit on. I was relieved to see my friend still alive, and I asked him how he spotted him. He told me like this; I terrain to the lowest settings. I looked at him funny. He had a pretty decent computer, good enough to play on Medium to High with grass and everything(He had a better CPU than GPU). I ask him why, and he says; it gives me a tactical advantage. I could see the logic behind this, but its kind of unfair for people with ghillie suits who think they're well hidden but someone with grass disabled(terrain on lowest disables grass, tbh) can EASILY spot someone from that range. So, I think terrain should be locked at low(grass is still kept at low settings).

Mmmm, gas station food. Anyways, the crosshair is independent of view and represents the barrel of the gun. What this means is, unlike most agmes where the crosshair is center view, the crosshair in ArmA is representing where the barrel is aligned. Ever notice how the small dot in the middle bounces up and down? That's the barrel swaying. When you free look, the crosshair stays in the direction of the barrel. So no, the crosshair isn't "overpowered". I actually like that they've added the ArmA 3 crosshair to the standalone. It's much easier to use and less accurate. But removing the crosshair should be left server side as it is, tbh.

First things first, run to Elektro, find an Enfield, and fire off all the ammo you have. You'll be rewarded with ten M4A1 HOLO GL's and a 100 Slot pack, plus a ghillie suit and SUV. Trust me, it works.

I'm hoping they've made more than one AK model, like an AKS-74 with a folding stock and an AK-74MN with a folding stock and polymer furniture. It'd add more variety, but in the end I just want to see more screenshots of weapons like the new M4A1, the Mauser, and anything else they happened to add.

Since these are screenshots of only medium settings, it'll finally work better for people with lower end PC's!

Anyone else notice the strange stock and barrel on that AK-74? It appears the stock is Chinese Type 56 side folder and the barrel looks to be that of an RPK. I hope these are just added accessories, and not what the actual gun looks like. Then I'd have to bitch slap the modeling team for making such a huge inaccuracy.

I know your feel man. There are a lot of assholes here who won't even recommend what you can play at and just go the usual route of "lol bro get a desktop xD 4rl". And you'll play on high settings, 40-50 frames. 60 on mostly Normal if that's what you desire.

Why do people assume anything under 60 fps is unplayable? 30 is smooth, and I play at a comfortable 50 on Very High.

It suprises me how many people play DayZ on unsuitable computers. From what I understand, from the amount of things you've gone through to make it run better all I can recommend is that you upgrade your computer. And if you can't afford even a slightly better one, than you either deal with what you have, look for more options or just simply quit.

This is what I gathered from the OP; "I don't have skills so I rely on overpowered "point-click-kill" death sticks. And because you think they are "overpowered" if you can't kill a hill sniper from 600m away with that Winchester then you are an unskilled douchebag who wants to get rid of my compensation and that really irks me because then everyone else would be on an equal level to me."

You hate...the glorious Kalashikinov? You could drag it through mud, water, dirt, and anything else I can't think of and it'll still fire. It's easy to clean, take a part, operate. It can maintain 2 MOA groups at 100 Yards. It has the stopping power of a battle rifle with the mobility and controllability of a carbine. Its barrel, at 16 inches, is at a sweet spot for both CQB and Mid range engagements. And with versions in 5.45, 5.56, and even 7.62, it is VERY versatile. Plus, its common in all of Asia, most of Eastern Europe, and both of the Americas. Plus, I think it looks sexy. Minimalist kind of sexy, with that rough plywood. Oh yeah...

Valve and Bohemia have a relationship already, no doubt. It would generate quite a bit of sales of Bohemia decided to engineer a Linux port to the Steambox and Valve make a huge marketing campaign. It'd be the first "console" to have DayZ, and even if people claim Steambox is no competition this might create some. A lot of people are awaiting DayZ standalone, and some are just waiting for a console port(aka; idiots). This could pull quite a few potential customers away from Sony and Microsoft.

Screens look great, inventory is a HUGE leap. The terrain looks fine enough to masturbate to, hope you give out some more screenies soon.

Its just "meh" to me. The Metro threw me off from upgrading Vista to 8 on my desktop, but my laptop came with it so I'm stuck with that particular OS unless I dual boot. I plan on upgrading to 7 within the week.

So, help a poor lad and give me Deans head with a transparency so it doesn't cut out the picture. It also involves Kate Upton.
