Server Difficulty/Realism settings - 3rd Person mode is enabled, Death Messages enabled and map way points are allowed. Everything else is off for greater realism Clans - currently pushing to get clans of 5-6 players in size to become regulars on the server. you can have a mumble channel to yourselves. just join the server and make the request to me there or PM me Events - PVP events held once a week on Fridays this OP will contain all the details for the current week's event. Only players wanting to take part are affected all other players can stay in the server and play as they were before completely unnaffected throughout the duration of the whole event. SideChat - ON Admins - Server will be actively watched and monitored throughout the day. You will always get a response from the email in the server welcome message. or leave a message here.Remote RCON tools are also being used to monitor logs and cheats. Other server changes - Vehicles have been altered in game to allow some of the previously unusable ones. Altered spawn locations manually to have more of an even distribution across the map. Limit has been upped to just shy of 100. When there are enough regular gamers we will be looking to host some events that revolve around attack and defend. winners will get special loot/vehicles. BATTLE EYE AND GOTCHA ANTI CHEAT BOTH INSTALLED. We openly and actively look into claims of hacking again just use the email or forum post for screenshots. Hey all... yeah i cud update the server... if ppl wanted but no one seems to be using it much anyhow these days... try as we might people dnt log so probably gunna stay quiet till standalone tbh now. We shall have to wait n see... we will start coming bak on if it gets busy but the only real imense fun left is hunting people now and we dint wanna play like that as such so we only log for the events now if ppl show up. DAMN DUDE THIS IS ONE HELL OF A POST!!!! thanks for taking the time it is much appreciated... as for the 21:00GMT+0 issue you mentioned depends how you did your conversion mate... we are on daylight saving time now which moves the forward and hour :) so that probably explains that.... event - the devils castle event is being repeated alot at the moment while i try and recode the skalisty island event (which fingers crossed should work by next friday). which has definate goal of cap the lighthouse and because of the fact its an island it makes for interesting stratergies lol also me n turbo are pretty busy atm workwise which is having an impact on the time we can play on server ourselves :( shame but work is whats paying for the server ultimately so have to do that first... M107s and AS50s were out however when we removed rmod it re corrected the heliloot changes i had done :( so now they are bak... I really apprecite the time it must have taken you and alll of the above posts to reply on the forum that is how we keep the server where people want it. once i get a difinitive ans on the day/night/steetlight poll i wil upload a lower loot spawns poll see how people take the idea lol :P as for skins...i have to replace them manually if you had one and lost it... (this bit isnt aimed at you - just eplains how i stop people askign for stuff they didnt have) i check the databse make sure the person asking actually had said skin item w/e before the evnt then bring that character back and kill their curent... or just swap gears... depends on the circs...most people now stow their gear so not had to do it in ages... lemmi know if its bugging you though we can sort it. should be pretty busy friday dude... we have been pretty slammed with work atm :( will pick up again soon also its self perpetuating guys .. if one of you joins then regulars are more likely to pop on even if its just to say hi. then it looks like theres 3 ppl on so more join then 5,6,7,8,9, etc and it builds itself... so its worth loggin if ur a regular... we are more likely to log if we see people online and we have a few mins.. when we get a few mins tho and look and its empty.. its a no go... but lets all try n keep the server busy ppl... we were beginning to win with the numbers game... dont forget event this friday... :P cyas all there.

As it stands i am not going to make server changes from a 1 vote difference between put it in and dont put it in lol.. so please get your votes up and lets get what the majority wants...

Also i can confirm now with a high degree of certainty that this weekend we will be commencing work on GBYC website and forum.. For the obvious reasons this is not going to happen overnight... i recon maybe a month to get the initial front facing website open to you guys.. should hopefully all be up ready for when we host the standalone.. assuming private hosting is even gunna be allowed by rocket n dev team etc.

Right to just even begin to answer a few of these lol... thanks to all those posting we are really beginning to get a good group of people on and for those that were there we had a really good day the other day.. lots of fun flying around... For those of you trying to join the server and ending up on some god forsaken noob w/e the hell it is server i can only apologise its a problem with how dayz commander and six updater and how they resolve IPs etc... the best way around it that we all find is to load up arma2 with dayz running and do a multiplayer search on our IP address and port as nimrod posted then double click Devil's Castle you shouldnt get any problems at all.. if you do get/have any problems drop a post or PM to me here and i will get you in lol.. Also to those of you insinuating i cannot fly... SOD OFF LOL i am amazing in a heli... tut tut tut to all those that think otherwise... i taught grim to fly in less than 5mins the other day lol... altho i have been known to d/c at the most inappropriate time *grin* Thanks to all those that have posted... lets keep this going.. the numbers are slowly beginning to reflect all the hard work and loyalty from you guys... thanks

i have scoured the interenet and to no avail mate... no one seems to be having this problem anywhere else let alone on the server.. :( looking into it further but i cnt think what it would be... certiainly doesnt apper to be a server side problem as everyone else can connect

ano to update battle eye plugin when i run arma2 i have o temp disable my avira antivirus o allow it to install otherwise it kicks me too trying to update and failing.. just temp disable it and try and rejoin ... once your in re enable ur anti virus...

hey mukka.. thought i may as well hit u up and send you a message... we got own server and are currently trying to get more of a player base at the moment. this is because we have just removed rmod from the server so we slowly building up numbers again... you are more than welcome to come join us ... we are an amalgamation of people group of guys from where i work and on top of that we have mixed play styles and still all work well together... we have dedicated mumble server thats open to all with clan channels for groups etc... we do pvp events every friday eve at 21:00GMT+0 so come give us a try or click the link in my sig to go to our forum page see what u recon mate

thankyou for taking the time to post mate. and i can assure you TaDeadMage has no god damn affiliation to admins lol.. he plays the server... and ofc like you all are... all welcome to play how you see fit... unfortunately tho it wont be the first time that he has done that and claimed to be pally with admins... grrr. frustrating... sorry you were the one to get the brunt of it... i will clear this up now just to confirm things for new players.. admin access is me only no one else has that kinda access Nimrod knows me. [AWOL] partial bandit clan depending on SuperMonkey's mood lol [RSB] are a bandit clan [RSB]=roadside bandits so avoid or kill on sight...lol [GBYC] my guys from work all friendly and will only fire when shot at. [MERC] same principle as [GBYC] only shoot when shot at and again know me unfort with it being an open server and we want to get a good rep etc i wont ban simply for play style etc... only for hacking or exploiting glitches. which means on the rare occation you get someone like TaUndeadMage on (who has even been known to change profile name to get ppl) nothing i can do mate.. sorry.. thats just the nature of the game at the moment.
