The rifle round has about 600+ deltaV in m/s over the pistol round,

all true enough. All projectiles are more effective when hitting organs then muscle tissue. So in theory one could survive a .30 cal to the chest or shoulder, as long a no organs or major arterys are hit. Its not so much the loss of bloodpressure wich forces somebody down, more often then not its the pain inflicted from bullets (dpecially pistol ammo). But since the debilitating aspect of pain is not well modeled. I feel there aer not enough ways to score a mobility kill in dayz.

My experience gives an avarage engangement range of about 300-400m

Well isnt this cute. ``Bandit`hunters``. While you are starting all the bandits have got some great practice in. If you dont want to get killed in dayz be more carefull its that simple. PLay in teams etc.

Offourse nobody is going to turn around when being hold up. I always just run any direction to cover. NEver been robbed. COuple have tried. Its just you need to get really close for that to work, and if someone got that close to you you deserve to get killed.

? what have you even seen the island. Its almost devoid of forested vegetation, and has a single hill dominating the landscape. LMAO If it takes 1 long range shooter to cover an entire island its not near big enough.

Well lets be honest. If we started with 4,5k blood, alot of people would not be able to cope. Also in arma when you have been hit in the arms you can forget about aiming till you visit the medical bay. That has also been removed, it would be way to frustrating for the less hardcore simulator community.( notice how i did not use the term noobs)

The only way robbing is going to be somewhat effective is when you never respawn again.

That amongst other reasons makes pasting your ass with lead the superior option. Most killing on dayz due to the terrain of chernarus, is done at about 350m on average. Way to far to play cops and robbers. That said succesfull banditing has two sides, and two diffrent doctrines. Both are effective and offer pros and cons. Sniper: As in not sniping cherno or elektro nothing to gain there but tears. Employing this effectively requires you read into the terrain and mindset of others. Most of the time but not always people tend to think alike when it comes to rout planning. After all most look for smiliar features of a given route ea concealment etc. Take a long hard look at the map, try to identify lanes of movement bewteen, zones and towns. Most people are a bit more relaxed with security when displacing from place to place. As oppsed to how focused they are at a place like NWAF. I have had great succes ambushing moving targets this way. For the reasons stated above.

Escus me for a second here. If they stockpile that gear, they had t get it from somewhere. Wich means they put effort into it. They are just being properly prepared. Dont hate because you fail or choose not to do it.

First of all some of you noobs need to learn to not skylight yourself. That and too much movement is the ways you get detected at long range. Do not fire from a position wich doesnt guarantee an escape route wich is somewhat safe. This is important when whittling away groups. Your ideal spot is out of the natural terrain horizon with the sun behind you. So if there is a hill, you will position at the foot of that hill. For the rest its just a matter of head on a swivvel. Use alt alot or a track ir.

Elegant solution, just keep the keys of the server under guard:) But why would anybody want a private hive to begin with? It started as a way to combat cheaters(not hackers they are cheaters). But if that would be hypotheticly solved in SA, you would basicly only want a private server ? for what exactly?

I like this, however you need a substance wich is a bit more volatile then gasoline(i know whatit sounds like) to mix it in with. To get that really nice WOOSH going on. (maybe disinfectant?) EMpty wihiskey+2parts Ethanol acetone etc+1 part gasoline.

Id hate to come on here and spread malcontempt. But im sorry ledge. This time i have too ive played on the noobs playground some time now. I really like what you soul and the rest of the team have done to the map and gameplay of dayz. However certain admins and there clique, namely the owner and his posse, keep abusing there power. This time i decided i will post on this thread and warn my fellow survivors. This is not adressed to you in person ledge please know that. I realise he pays for the server and the ``priviledge`` of cheating. But its getting really sad now, i will not go into details of what and how, because we both know. It not just happened to me (this is an alias btw i dont want myself opened to banning) but to entire groups of people playing togetther, i even got strafed by an admin in a harrier once. The banning of people that speak out against this behaviour is also appalling. I feel sorry for all the work you guys have put in and that for above stated reasons its not being enjoyed by more people, because it REALLY IS FUN! Sincerely, a concerned fair player.
