I tried it out a couple of days ago when I had a broken leg. I could walk on my leg again, though the symbol was still there. -
Basically your everything is not good enough here. Lower resolution will probably help given your vram, but you will never get acceptable performance. Your CPU and GPU you probably already understand yourself are simply outdated and poor, but the RAM might be your biggest gate here. DayZ often uses 3 gigs of RAM, and though the pagefile can make up for not having enough memory it doesn't run nearly as well as dedicated RAM.

I was hunted by British survivors claiming they were friendly. But my local neighborhood hospital visiting Hero saved me. I'm scared of Brits now. -
It will run better, and have lower requirements. Fun fact: Back in may I played DayZ at a varying 17-22 FPS. Currently I play it at around 45-60 FPS, nothing has changed with my computer or settings since then. Arma 2 / DayZ is just terribly optimized.

I think that's the high-res version of the old bandit skin. With the scarf that was once suggested as being put on the survivor model to indicate bandit after bandit skin was removed. -
What's happened to "Save Vehicle" or "Save Tent" ?

Entering towns/loot area so fast nothing spawns

While in a vehicle you do not spawn loot/zombies. It's not about going too fast, it's simply that you do not trigger it from inside the vehicle. Zombies will spawn as soon as you exit the vehicle, loot will require you to go the loot-spawn radius of that loot area on foot. -
I was just on a server where at 3:45 am it was very visible, and had tons of color by 4:15 am. It was also still somewhat visible at 10 pm on that same server earlier. This was a public hive server. DayZ has a varying day/night cycle just like earth.

Can you shoot through building windows?

Hospital and store windows have to be broken (which can take a lot of shots) before shooting through them has any major impact (shots lose about 90% damage passing through those windows fixed). As far as I know all the others shooting through them is like shooting with nothing in the way. -
I was getting that problem last night with some servers too, the servers were not passworded according to DayZcommander, though I didn't look them out in the regular ingame search.

The server locks your visibility at whatever number it feels like, this is to allow people to hide in grass. This is one of the major reasons for different performance on different servers.

I miss spawning with a gun. I miss when zombies were a threat. I miss when I didn't have to make guesses about all of my stuff, guesses that someone who never had the debug would never be able to accurately make. Overall I think DayZ is not better than it was 6 months ago.

Not only does it freeze the HUD elements, the debug itself doesn't display either.

It is currently and has been available. It's just certain private hives have it disabled.

If you could make 3 specific changes what would they be?

1. Revert the patch where they changed spawning items. The old spawn items and old zombie detection / following was better. 2. Revert the pistol damage changes. It was better when civilian pistols vs military pistols was preference. 3. Make ammo that normally only spawns with a weapon also spawn seperate from them. (AS50, PDW, and SVD mags)
