    Loving the axe.

    The melee weapons are causing problems that are both crashing servers and making it impossible to login. That is your starter kit to fix your inability to login. Don't pick another melee weapon up until 1.7.1.3
  2. Different FPS in different servers is related to different servers having different view distances and different dead body counts. Both of those reduce FPS.

    Stockpiling Versions?

    The mirrors usually have old version files available. I hear they were removed. 1.7.1.2 is basically unplayable, I suggest waiting for 1.7.1.3 if you can't find the files to go back to an older version.

    Losing my coyote pack and M16 M203 is what. I intended the attachments to be the other way around but I uploaded the wrong file at first. And now it's saying I have the wrong version even though we didn't change the version. wat
  5. When hive is swamped loading can take longer. I was having it a lot at peak times over the weekend, just wait awhile.

    If you want to play on a specific server, wait for it to update before you do. Your files are not backwards compatible.

    How to stop the backpack monster

    Are you sure it's not related to the massive rollbacks? I had my character rolled back 15+ minutes multiple times in the last few days. Luckily it rolled back my tents too so I didn't lose stuff I had switched around. I'm not sure why. I figure there was some connection failure with hive that still let me mess with all the items?

    Tent Saving ?

    Tent despawning from character death is not actually implemented. However you can no longer pack it.
  10. While being completely obnoxious and not really making any sense it's a big part of what gives them difficulty so it would be stupid to remove it.
  11. My experience in 1.7.0 with beta patch was that I could go along the coast and meet friendlies all over the place. As soon as 1.7.1 was out I was getting murdered left and right.

    Converting magazines?

    I don't think they said you could make DMR/FAL/M24 mags with each other. It would make getting FAL mags possible though...
  13. I picked it up and tested it out. It's a winchester with only 2 shots per mag. I don't get people who are saying it's loud. It is the exact same sound as the winchester.

    Post Spawn Loot Comments here ONLY

    I feel like this is terrible. Spawning is now literally find direction of major town, hit W, run to major town as fast as you can. Hope you don't get shot as you scramble to find everything you need to live past the next 5 minutes. There is no sneaking during this part of the life. It's simply run as fast as you can completely ignoring all zombies because you just do not have the time to sneak. Oh, and getting shot along the coast feels like it happens more often. Maybe because of spite, maybe because people really need your one bandage. If you at least have food and water you have options, and you can try sneaking around. Starting with nothing is just a race against a small amount of time.

    Is it really?

    The missing food spawns is too tough. You could have made them rarer, but they're not even the only missing spawns. When you add it all together it feels like way too much luck is involved in getting your feet off the ground as it is. The spawn rates could be lowered, but just outright being missing as they are is not okay. Looting Elektro plus two small towns plus ~80 zombies I kill shouldn't fail to yield me a single can of food or a bandage.

    M16A2 Shooting High?

    If you had both SD ammo and regular ammo it would have loaded in the regular ammo on relog.
  19. They were super rare. Then their spawnrate got switched with compasses for a week. That appears to have been fixed as of last night.
