  1. This is the main thing developers should focus on right now, not throwing mechanics. High populated servers was a big plus, but being able to build a base is the most important aspect. The reason people KoS is cus they're bored of the same repetitive game, and what they do to create some tense is killing. Base building would keep those guys busy

Will tents and bases reduce KoS mentality

It's my understanding that they're afraid, or just bored.

    Karma

It seems like Karma is a really big deal for me, if I do something nice, good things happen to me in the game, if I do something bad I lose my character in multiple ways short after it happened. I guess it's a good thing? Yesterday, I had looted the east of Chernarus, had a big backpack, a magnum and some other stuff. I usually ignore bigger weapons that appear on your back as you will be seen as a bandit in most cases, so all I had was good clothing, a mountain backpack, a magnum and a little food. I ran from the unnamed town west of Svetlojarsk down to Svetlojarsk itself, on the 100 player server. It was a load of players, and many ran as they saw I was quite geared up. But I had nothing on my back, no axe, no weapon. My magnum was in my jacket. Unfortunately, but as expected, I was being attacked by loads of fresh spawns, and in my defence I had to shoot all of them that attacked me, but some were nice and communicated with me. I met a british guy, he was really nice and he said it's surprising seeing a person with a gun in a fresh spawn town not shooting everyone. I ran with him down the long road to the shipwreck, then to Berezino. It all ended there because there was someone running with a shotgun shooting everyone, and about 30 freshspawns came running at me starting to punch me as they thought I was the one with the shotgun, since I was pretty much the only geared guy there. Due to the huge amount of players in that small area I crashed, and got killed by them. Luckily, I asked for my new friend's steam name and we played after I died. For doing something good, I was rewarded with a new friend. Today, now, just about 15 minutes ago, I had ran all the way from Solnichny down to Balota to loot, and it wasn't looted, at all, so I got geared up quite fast. I had basically the same gear as when I met the british guy, but this time I had my backpack full of food. I ran back up to Solnichny along the coast, to help fresh spawns and maybe make more friends, or even a group. At Solnichny I saw a person standing with a SKS on his back, I ran up to him and said, "Hello, you need supplies or anything?". He remained quiet, but said hello with F1, you know the attempt to make a high five animation, but he was all quiet.. I didn't know if I could trust him. I looked to my right and there was a fresh spawn with probably broken legs just crawling towards us. I panicked, I thought the guy with the SKS had shot him or something. I drew up my FNX45 and aimed at his head, and said "Sorry, I don't trust quiet people". One shot and he was down, but I saw the fresh spawn crawling towards his corpse. I imagined the SKS having no ammo since he didn't shoot me when I first saw him, but the fresh spawn picked up the SKS. I shot the fresh spawn multiple times, but he got my legs, and I broke them. I think the fresh spawn died, but I went unconcious so I have no idea. I tried to wait out, and see if I'd wake up. But after about 15 seconds it said "You're dead". After all, I regret shooting the guy with the SKS. He was probably friendly, and if he had a mic and communicated, I wouldn't have shot him. I guess Karma got me, and things like these have happened loads of times. That's why I never go full bandit, I know it will never last. Has anything like this happened to you, or is it just me?

    Is healthy still a thing?

I'm playing on the experimental servers, and whether you believe it or not, my status is Energized (light green) and Hydrated (light green). Why am I not "Healing" or becoming healthy? Did they remove that?

    H1Z1, DayZ killer?

As of now, DayZ is very laggy, overhyped and is being developed in the wrong direction. But it's still very fun, because it's one of the most realistic zombie survival games out there. I just heard of this new game coming out, called "H1Z1" which is a zombie survival MMO, built off the Planetside 2 engine and will support over 1000 players in the massive open world, the developers claim it to take games like Rust and DayZ to the next level. What DayZ really needs, is more advanced crafting, base building and vehicles. And that is, what H1Z1 promises. But better, according to the developers. It's going to be a free to play game, like Planetside 2, but has promised not to be a pay2win, like Planetside 2 was. It's going to be clothing that you can buy, not bases or weapons. What really excites me, since I am a The Walking Dead fan, is that the developer made an example how bases are built, and how players fight each other. And that is, as he described, like the fights between the town and the prison in The Walking Dead. This could mean, like the problems DayZ has with KoS, that players will communicate, trade loot and help each other out, since base building is a big thing. One lonely survivor would never really go fight a fortress with a large group of survivors. With other words, this game will be a lot like surviving in The Walking Dead (TV Series) and not a huge deathmatch like DayZ at the moment, H1Z1 also has great graphics potential! For more info: What do you think?

    Is healthy still a thing?

Research? You're making it much more complicated than it has to be, it's really really simple to get healthy. Eat til you're energized light green, drink til you're hydrated and bam that Healthy/Healing that WILL appear. Trust me, I am right.

    Is healthy still a thing?

I couldn't find any zombies around so I kept running, but eventually I got the "healing" status automatically.

    Code of the Hunter?

My rules are 1. Help bambies 2. Try to communicate with armed players, in case they're hostile, rob or shoot them. If they're friendly, play together.

    Is healthy still a thing?

No this is wrong.. To get "Healing" you need to be light green energized and green hydrated. Healing means your blood is regenerating. Once fully regenerated, you get the "Healthy" status.

so is some of the foods bugged on EXP?

I almost died of dehydration until I found a water pump, and I had drunk loads of sodas. So what's reliable now is canned food, water bottles and water pumps.

    DayZ streamer CrazylegzMelo

Why would you even stream DayZ , then everybody knows where you are.. BTW Nice timing I just got a peak at the stream where you got killed, what a success.

    New Experimental?

I fully agree, I think that 80 and 100 servers are awesome. I had a really funny experience at the unnamed town west of Svetlojarsk. We were about 10 people, and arguing about who would be the town's mayor and name it. Also had an intense situation at the N/E Airfield, I shot one out of two people, and got shot at back. Ran into one of the prisons where I stayed for about 15 minutes, the guy who was left and I were communicating through the walls, and he said if I dropped my weapons and came out I would survive. I agreed after a while, and went out but unfortunately the server crashed so it really went nowhere. TL;DR: Keep 80 and 100 servers for those who want

    Those 100 player servers...

I just logged on and I saw at the top 100/100 servers, are those even playable? I mean it's minor lag at 40 players, how will it do when it's 100 players?

It's because you're suppose to spawn to the east..

    Motorbike helmet

I don't know, I don't think caps or hats provide any protection. But I always roll with baseball caps, I think they make you look a lot more like a survivor than a guy running around with a motorbike helmet and an M4
