Couldn't find any threads that addressed this, but I'm curious how long your player will complain after being bandaged and returned to full blood/health... I'm finding the groaning really annoying, and it gives away my position...

Nope - never did :( I have a mic now, but I still can't see if other people are typing to me in Direct Chat... :(

I have the latest version, so idk if there is any other way to try fixing it, lol - but thanks for that info!

Hey - so I have this problem on Dayz vanilla servers, private hives, and Dayz Origins: People can see when I type into Direct Communication to talk, but I can't see their responses in Direct Communication... I've tried this with several people across several servers, and the problem is consistent - any known ways of fixing this? Thanks!

I've just started a new character on that server and have a ghille already :D My skype: tjfreeman7 (I don't know how communicating in steam works, but I would be happy to learn...)

Of course, in game, if we could get a group channel going (though I don't know how, exactly) - but for meeting up and all, skype, haha, that way the bandits can't track us :P That server is full right now, so I'm trying to get in another to start a character for now...

Does it stay populated like that? Awesome - and I'm totally down with rolling with you, I've been looking for a strong server with a group to play with...do you have skype? (BTW, I am saving for a mic, but can type through skype until then)

Hi - I'm a new player (just got the game up and running yesterday)... Like everyone, I'm sure, I've been watching youtube videos for ages and that's what got me excited about dayz. I don't have a mic (as of now) - and I realize this is a downer for group play, but I am a team player and would love to roll with a group if someone would like to take on a newb like me...lol I know it's asking a lot: "Hey, I don't know anything about the game, can I play wif u?" So...my character has found his first gun - first gun I've found in dayz :D I've searched the forums and haven't found anything, but my question is - is there some sort of guide or chart that shows which guns can shoot which ammo? I ask because I've found a double-barreled shotgun - I also ran across some 1887 (think that's right) shotgun slugs...when I run out of the regular slugs for my shotgun (2 shots), will it accept the 12 gauge slugs as well? I think some guns accept various ammo - but a chart of some sort showing all of these that I could print out would be amazing...

The ping may have been the problem - I've switched servers and haven't had that issue since :) My FPS runs between 35 and 60, depending on where I am on the map... Thanks for the input guys - I think the frustration with that is over...now I'm just frustrated with people that kill me as a BRAND NEW SPAWN (w/no weapon), lol

No, at least, I don't think so... sometimes even when there are already zombies and I'm being chased by a few, this will happen. Though, being a noob, I don't fully recognize when zombies are spawning in, lol, so that may be exactly what's happening, idk
