  1. Nyctalgia (DayZ)

DayZ suggestions, smoke and scary atmosphere.

This would be perfect. Especially near the new swamps.

What if we removed the crosshair?

You mean less realistic than crosshairs? To be honest, what I said is usually how people do it in real life as well. Most people who pick up a melee weapon/bat etc does a practice swing in the air.

What if we removed the crosshair?

You do a swipe in the air and see where your weapon moves.

What if we removed the crosshair?

Easy, not having a weapon equipped makes you do this when you right click: Can also be used to point out enemies, items etc!

As it stands now, looks like most people want to take them out (I'd actually thought it would be the opposite). I also feel adding to the realism and removing it is the right way to go for standalone. The ruthlessness of DayZ was what made me fall in love with it. Having crosshairs feels like the opposite of the DayZs philosophy.

    Girl Characters

Oh my, the level of maturity in this thread is staggeringly low, both from OP and a few posters. Female models are available, it's just that some hosts turn them off due to the ghillie/camo suit problem (which they have every right to, if OPs got a problem with that take it up with the respective server admins). When standalone comes along both sexes will be able to wear all clothing. And Victus, the hitboxes probably won't be an issue, DayZ is going for realism whereas Gears of War has a heavily stylized art style (=decided to cross their males with bulls). The current models (subject to change, probably) can be seen here:

I'm all for removing it if it makes for a hack-free experience. If not for that I'd say let the servers decide as the more options the better. I personally I prefer it off, though, and I'm getting bored with the fact that too many of the current DayZ servers cater to create the easiest PvP experience (no nights, start kits, max vehicles etc).
