    Vehicle failure

    Apart from bridges I havent had much trouble from the atv. I do however make sure I navigate certain terrain slowly because of the stupid over the top engine physics.

    Bear Traps : Do they exist?

    They do exist just seem to be alot rarer now, I picked one up a few days ago and was going it to protect one of my tents, think i lost it after trying to store it in a tent though..

    Just in case you missed it...

    Initially when I read the OP i was a bit 'meh' but as long as their awareness in buildings is reduced like currently so I am still able to lose them then I dont think it will be that bad.

    loosing any new items within tents

    In the same boat, Tents reset upon server restart losing anything you have placed in them, you can however dupe existing tent items to your hearts content. Also really annoying when you destroy a tent you no longer want and it comes back after a restart. Im not sure which hive the server i play on uses but it is hosted by dayz.st if that helps.

    Denser Vegetation.

    Totally agree with the OP, I'm quite surprised that it took so long to create Chenarus considering the huge amount of re-used terrain objects used in arma 2. Its quite funny that nearly all the vegetation objects are over 10 years old, they are the same ones I saw when i played OFP over a decade ago all they have done is improve the textures (slightly). If they cant/wont increase the vegetation count then they need to enforce grass rendering at distance, its quite stupid that I can go prone in grass which I cant shoot through but a sniper 500 meters away CAN shoot through because the grass I see as cover is not rendered on his screen...

    DayZ Scenario: Would You Kill or Help

    Dont get close and dont help, The injured player could be bait left by a sniper to draw in victims. The injured player could even be in league with the sniper either getting you to come into the snipers cross hairs or sending you to the hospital where the sniper is waiting for you Cherno + Elektro are always full of lame assed new-spawn campers and bandits. I personally wouldnt be that far south in the first place :)

    Holding up players

    I do, I do it for the lols on new spawns it goes something like this: Sneak up on unarmed player, shout "FREEZE!, GET ON THE FLOOR NOW BEFORE I BLOW YOUR HEAD OFF" over direct chat Wait for them to get on the floor Then say "very good, carry on" and walk past them

    This ^ At home I can hear the guards at a airbase 4 miles away practicing with their pistols, same for all the local farmers with their shotguns.
  9. Im a little disappointed by the weapon damage. I used to be a hardcore OFP player years ago where unless you were shot in the legs it was one hit one kill. Now weapon damage is like BF3....

    Do you KOS players in Ghillie suits?

    I do not fire unless fired upon when it comes to ghillie's, exactly because of players like you. I'm yet to find a ghillie but will not hesitate to wear one once i find one so i can hide from other players,or maybe stalk those ghillie lamers that camp new spawns on the s coast.

  13. Bandit / Ghillie fair enough cant say ive had many positive encounters with them, but camo? Im a survivor that always wears camo clothing to conceal myself from scumbag bandits and other survivors as i mostly stick to woodland and trust almost no one. Just because someone doesnt want to stick out 2km away in that god awful survivor skin doesnt mean they are a threat. If they have camo clothing AND have a bandit skin then fair game though.

    Tents disappear on server restart

    Well I asked the admin to regen the server mission file which sorted the post patch tents disappearing after restart though my pre patch tents are resetting each restart, which was great to begin with but im getting a bit bored now with my unlimited supply of M4 CCO's, camping tents and camo clothing.. I noticed that I had 14 file faliures when i verified ARAM:OA so Ive fixed them to see if that has had any impact, I'll check when i get home this evening

    Tents disappear on server restart

    Lost 2 tents , both setup since the new patch, all tents setup prior to new patch are still there. I set another up last night, hopefully its still there when i log on tonight....

    New 80M aggro radius.

    Eh? Your not doing it right, yes if zeds have LOS then they do agro easier but I've found that they lose interest and stop chasing if you break LOS long enough just like pre patch even quicker in some cases. From my experience once you lost the zed that saw you once it gets to the last 'footstep' it heard it communicates with the rest of the train and causes a chain affect of de-agro. I honestly havent been affected by the ai changes but maybe that because I really make an effort to avoid zed agro (waiting till their moving in a diff direction etc..)

    Top 5 things the latest devblog told us.

    Hopefully all the clothing / kit will have random generated colors so for example the best hoodie in the game could be black , red , camo etc.. That should keeps players looking different from each other for a while and maybe add the to the meta game. Also I'm looking forward to holding people up, taking everything and then leaving them in their boxers lol

    Is your friend getting confused by loot spawning in vehicle wrecks in the standalone? I have seen no such thing in the mod to date.

    Don't logout in vehicles

    Has this problem been fixed? My game crashed while I was driving a SUV a few days ago. I logged back in expecting the worst but I was still in the drivers seat with the engine still running, nothing lost , no problems experienced.

    Explodable Buildings

    the ARMA devs played with the concept ages ago but i just wasnt doable with the scale of the game world, i think they put in a compromise where pre-defined sections of a building would blow up when hit, not sure it it made it to release though, google 'arma' and 'destructable buildings' theres a vid explaining the ups and downs of it on the BIS site somewhere

    I actually feel safer with the new zed ai because now I know that any bandit is going to have to deal with a town full of zeds when he pops a round of at me :D

    New Update Makes DayZ Extremely Difficult

    I dont agree, I on purpose drove around towns slowly in a SUV last night, I was not hit once while inside and found that the zeds would just ignore the suv after a while The Zeds dont need to be nerfed, while i found that they now react to gunfire and decend on you quite quickly all you have to do get inside a building and then silently (yes you CAN move silently without rolling, just takes practice) move to new location in the building, the zeds shamble to your last footstep then turn around and walk out. Apart from the hearing now working the zeds actually appear easier to shake through breaking line of light, they seem to 'give up' easier Zed numbers are fine I have no problem moving through them it just requires more practice for those who struggle
