Why not spawn players randomly throughout the map?

I've been saying this for a while. Hundreds of spawns all over the map plx! -
I hate to be contrary but I've exactly the opposite problem, My bags are literally stuff with food yet I cant find a gun anywhere.. Players need to setup someway of safely (ish, this is dayz afterall) trading

Overheating maybe? How sure are you that your watercooling / airflow is sufficient? Is this your first build?

I've done the same, Panic when a guy comes diving round the corner and just sprayed that m4 into him. It's an unfortunate consequence of the paranoia that DayZ inflicts =p Don't feel bad, he didn't even make an attempt to make contact either.

I'd say yay just because eventually I want there to be many many many types of clothing so that people can create fairly unique characters

Can I just say that when Brad Pitt stuck those onto his arms that was literally the ONLY moment in that movie I enjoyed, Freakin' genius zombie protective gear!, I do wonder why more people never don this kind of makeshift armor in zombie movies, so many deaths could be avoided. My hockey gear + a couple of strategically taped magazines would probably save me from ALL zombie bites :P

Its a small price to pay to fix a big problem and I have no doubt the system will be worked on further in the future - Maybe giving us more reconnects before adding the timer or re logging onto the same server not incurring the wrath of the timer. basically put up with it for now, its alpha! :P

Yes! I was VERY happy when they lowered the gun spawn rate, I looted over 20 barracks buildings before grabbing an M4, finding one felt like an achievement. The SKS patch has brought gun spawns back to even higher than they were before. A very disappointing approach imo. I've taken to moving guns I find in barracks and leaving them in tall grass hopefully never to be found again. -=Edit=- I will be all for these amount of gun spawns when we have many different gun and ammo type. That way finding the ammo for the gun you actually have might be a little difficult and finding the exact gun you want even more so. With any luck this will promote trading and player interaction.

Sorry to be contrary but my fps increased quite significantly with today's patch. Just played for just short of an hour and have seen nothing but a stable 45+ fps.

This exactly. Communication is literally the best thing you can do when it comes to alphas, this works both ways. Give Devs your feedback + Devs telling us what they are doing = Happy Testers and better games. -

I haven't gone back to the MOD, I'm guessing for the same reasons you like it. For me there are too many vehicles / guns in the mod. It has become just another action game rather than survival - I'm VERY happy with the current state of the SA, I do want there to be vehicles, I want there to be guns. But I don't want for them to be something that EVERYONE has. edit - I could stand for either, lowering the spawn rate of primary weapons in the SA, or increasing the variety so finding ammo for your weapon is hard without trading.

its a shame but no, its listed as a known issue so I would expect a fix pretty soon. I'm no game designer but I can't imagine adding loot back to the tents would be too difficult

I support the idea of being able to bypass all but heavy duty safes with the crowbar. gives that item a use finally. -
