US9 locked for personal farming and PvE

i can't imagine an admin would be stupid enough to "blast players apart" with his chopper, its probably going to be used to fly around and have fun in. If an admin is killing people with illegitimate crap THEN grab the pitchforks but come on guys, whats with the witchhunts? anyone seen evidence of any server owners abusing any weapons or items? nope? okay move along. play on another server.

US9 locked for personal farming and PvE

Most of the time, admins don't even have time while playing to do anything besides dealing with whiny 12 year olds and checking bug reports, If they want to mess around for a while on there own server, as long as they don't use the shit they get to PvP i see no problem with it. just do it at off peak hours :D
  3. lol.. lance if you read past the title you would see that he has some good points. he wasn't "crying" about anything, so i guess you are the idiotic one. I think a way to make this viable would be to have roleplay servers, where you can't just random deathmatch. there can still be bandits but they would have to have reason for killing, i.e supplies or weapons. I don't think they should have to announce that they are about to kill you though, it would be "gentlemanly" for them to say it and tell you to "leave you pack on the ground and leave, i have a sniper trained on you" or something, and i'm sure some people would do things like that, but in most cases you are going to get shot and then robbed and that is ok. roll in a group if you want more safety, bandits don't group up most of the time and usually won't engage a group of people.

    DayZ Stories

This is the story of my first life in the game. I spawn on the coast, during the night. I checked my pack and headed off down the nearest road. Creeping from house to house, I spotted a shed and decided to check it for loot. One headshot later i found myself with a new sense of adventure, and a full jerry can of fuel that i had found in the shed. I continued along the road, skirting buildings and watching out for zed when to my amazement I spotted a main rotor of a helicopter poking over the roof of a building. Now, I've played my share of battlefield, and consider myslef a decent pilot in that. lets just say flying them in the middle of a zed outbreak is a little more hands on. I topped off the tank, hopped in the pilot seat, and....wondered what the hell any of the buttons and switches did. After a few minutes of messing around, I found the throttle and basic steering mechanisms. I decided to go for it. I spun up the main rotor and took off. I was gaining altitude but something was wrong. The chopper started spinning, faster and faster. I couldn't see a thing. No matter what i did i couldn't get her back under control. I reached for the ejection lever but i was spinning too fast. I crashed into a field and in seconds a swarm was on me. I was already bleeding out on the ground when they got there. I hope they enjoyed freshly roasted noob. I fell in love with the game immediately.
  11. I should have recorded my "Helicopter action" It consisted of me finding a can of gas, and moments later seeing a rotor poking over a rooftop. This was my first life in the game, and I have never played arma before. I fill her up, hop in the pilot seat and proceed to take off. Immediatly after liftoff I started to spin insanely fast (guessing the tail rotor was missing) the only control i knew was throttle up, i figured i'd learn the rest on the fly. well.... after about 15 seconds of the fastest spinning ever, i crashed into a field and slowly bled out as a swarm of zed that followed the light and noise of the crash slowly ate my body. fell in love with the game at that moment.
  12. if someone disconnects right after you kill them, will their body dissapear? killed a guy the other day and his body went away as i tried looting it

    DayZ Update 1.5.5

I never understood why people complain about how others like to play..... if they don't want to walk across the map, who cares? they shouldn't have to anyway...they had a hidden chopper up there for a reason. Some people don't feel the need to walk for hours due to a bugged vehicle, others would enjoy it. to each their own.
  15. You save it until the day someone gets a tank up and running. you then either join forces with said tank and rule chernarus, or lie in wait and send them sky high with a well placed shot.

Why the Anti PvP arguments are pathetic

A better title would have been "My thoughts on the PVP argument" but that isn't important. I think the only people complaining are the youngsters ( well, the immature youngsters, i know not everyone is like this at that age) who tell everyone their location in chat, run with flares in hand, and generally don't take the game very seriously. They rage when someone takes away their loot. I saw this constantly when i was a mod of a popular minecraft pvp server..they spent time gathering all their shit and then got ganked because they don't know how to lay low. The most common complaint was " I worked all day for my stuff just give it back to me now! it was mine!" followed by insults when i told them to start over. I'm guessing this is the same for Day z. People gather their shit and then expose themselves as a target of value, either in chat or by walking around shooting randomly, and complain when the obvious happens. In my opinion game needs more immersion-helping things like working voice comms/radios and limited global chat. player kills shouldn't have a drastic penalty, I think over time the player base will sort out how best to deal with the "serial killer" types who kill just for the blood lust.
