44 years old ... 0 kids 1 job 6 pc’s and i too spend far too much time gaming! usually on between 3pm and 10pm (break for tea) six days a week! if you ever fancy teaming up then i am available on skype. i’ve been "lone wolfing" way too long .... tally ho old chum!
anyone mentioned banning "nvg’s" ... i have a couple of characters equipped with them and some without, which enables me to play both night time scenarios as far as light is concerned. it wouldn’t bother me if they were banned and it would put everyone on a level playing field... and maybe toning down the pitch blackness a bit would encourage more populated night servers?
chemlights and road flares get me through the night when starting a new character! and starting campfires as decoys also helps. if i get sniped in the process then fair enough. night time enables creativity... so get being creative! nvg’s are nice to have but i don’t have a problem lighting up cherno with flares!
bandits killing in order to gain extra loot is a tactical decision... killing unarmed players who are looking to loot an area the bandit has an interest in is also tactical. but to lay on top of a hill and snipe anything that moves just for the hell of it? nothing tactical about that, but a personal choice made by the person who has paid money (arma2/oa) for the game which entitles them to play how they want. diplomatic reply?
when i get bored i snipe from hills! ... not at players but the aggroing zombies chasing the bambis. a guardian angel of sorts! kill on sight tactics don’t suit my personality
