I'm not going to call you and your Left4Dead WoW playing friends 'casual' but... well, fuck it, you're casual players. If you want to play DayZ where everyone spawns in the exact same location because it's better for playing with friends.... Make it. This is just a mod to a game. The scripting isn't that difficult. Creating a hive server might not be easy, but since it's just you and your friends playing you can save your mission progress. This happened sometime between 4:25am pacific time and 4:30am PT. A friend and I were on US 34 Seattle moving through some pretty heavy forest. All of a sudden there is a flash, we see water, hear a helicopter, fall into water, and flash back to where we were. If this wasn't an actual flashback, but a hack, I'd just like to throw out that there was a clan logged in. Didn't catch the tag.

I'm just throwing this out there because I have been having problems connecting to servers with my friend logged in on my network. Am I banned anywhere? I read that it could have been for putting down markers. Well, I am able to connect to US 34 Seattle.

I'm having this problem, but there is another person playing... on a different CDkey/steam account in the house. I have played with this person on the same server when we had different IP addresses as well.

Not a bandit... but I'm with the OP. I was about to starve to death so my survival buddy and I headed back to land so I could eat something, so we could both use a heat pack and continue on the long journey down the coast. As we hit the shore line some guys in a truck were refueling at a gas station. It might have been a car. They opened fire on us before we got to land. They hit our boat with a round or two, we made it to land, and ended up firing back at them. We weren't aiming at them, but their truck. They/he moved to a better firing position across the water, on a pier safe from zeke. Opened fire again, so we returned fire, and from our position almost got overran. We cleared it, repositioned leaving our boat as bait. I called out "We WERE friendly until YOU shot at us!" Then my SB and I setup a classic ambush. I posted up on a road about 100m from a side road. My SB setup aimed down the side road. As the truck or car came roaring down the asphalt I unloaded into the engine and cabin. A sharp right turn and my SB hit him a couple of times in the back of the vehicle. We repositioned expecting retalliation, it never came and the server crashed.

NO. Right now there is a ruger 10/22 in my house. And a break loading shotgun 10ga (single shot, it's old). A handgun is kind of the wrong starting weapon. I'm for a more realistic starting weapon, but starting with nothing is frustrating. RUN, WALK or CRAWL. Unless that has been fixed.

When anarchy presents itself, even confessed anarchists will cry for order. Get together with some people you know and trust and bring order. Or have fun trying. I see no democracy here.
