And that will solve everything? The code' date=' the artwork, these forums, the logo - [i']these are not the mod. IF this becomes its own game, all this stuff get's rewritten. Yes, we have agreements being drafted. Of course it won't solve everything. Just because they aren't written in the mod doesn't mean you still can't protect them. Shit, make us sign two things. Make us sign ALL the things. I really don't care. Just don't expect people to sit back and not mess with your work because you have something drafted up for people to sign when this becomes it's own stand alone game. Also: If you are going to patent something, you need to patent everything about it - including what colour boxer shorts you were wearing when you created it - otherwise people will rip off your idea. We deal with it here everyday. -

You'll have your unity when we all share the one voice and can only talk through you on here. Ie: Give us all something to sign. We all (i think) fully support where you are taking this, and what you are trying to voice. If we didn't we (I) wouldn't be paying money out of my own pocket to host a server that I have next to zero control over. I agree with the mindset - and aside from a few dicks I think most the other guys/girls here do too. -

Rocket I really think you need to look into getting everyone to sign/agree to SOMETHING. Perhaps similar to what people have to do when participating in closed beta's. ie: Here's the Beta/Alpha/whatever. Talk about it here, but no where else. Modify the underlying code and I will fuck you up! -
Looking to rent an AU/NZ server

I am also in Australia. We rent/host/pay for a server in Atlanta. $35 a month. Ping isn't an issue unless it gets over 250 in Arma2. I really couldn't justify spending 10 times as much for no visible improvement in game play. -

I'm sorry was the a EULA for DayZ? nope. Do BI openly allow people to create mods for Arma2? Yep. Modifying the underlying code for DayZ and cracking a piece of paid software have about as much to do with each other as ice cream and eating dicks. I enjoy DayZ, I even support it's development by hosting a server. However, I'm not going to stop playing Kronsky's wrapper. Shit I might even write in some dynamic events and host myself a little lan. You should visit the BI forums and take a look at the 100's of other modders helping each other out, and using/ and modifying each others mods. Modders are going to mod. And unless you get something in writing to say "no, you're a not allowed to do that" there's not alot you can do about it. Also OP: rocket personally requested that the SP wrapper be taken down. It wasn't some heavy handed tactic by BI studios trying to protect the only decent income theey have had in 4 years. -

Where is this confirmation? (no I am not an admin on that server). Show proof of 'admins' duping items. Have you seen the list of what admins can and can't do? Here: missions: Returns a list of the available missions on the server. players: Displays a list of the players on the server including BE GUIDs and pings. kick [player#]: Kicks a player. His # can be found in the player list using the 'players' command. RConPassword [password]: Changes the RCon password. MaxPing [ping]": Changes the MaxPing value. If a player has a higher ping, he will be kicked from the server. logout: Logout from current server, but do not exit the program. Save you tents properly. We tend to run around 3-4 times (2 different people) saving the tents before we move off. Also, when you only had loot left in one, was it all junk? You probably got rolled. Also; we normally have to restart the server twice after a crash to bring tents and vehicles back.

I enjoy playing the SP conversion. When my guys aren't online I tend to fire it up. However it is not quite there. Because of the lack of other players, there needs to be a dramatic increase in the amount of zombie spawns.

Aussie servers have been crap, that's why we rent a US one to play on. Perhaps it has something to do with the distance from the HIVE or the fact that internet in Australia is shit?

Aside from the whole loot camping :dodgy: Oh come on :) Who in his own mind shoot zeds from the control tower on the airfield? Looks like he was asked for it :) And yes, loot camping is bad mmkay. But why do you think he was loot camping? P.S. I might miss something here, English is not my native language. So please indulge me if you can, no trolling or anything like that. I'm not trolling. You would assume that anyone with half a brain and the will to survive wouldn't log out at an airfield. And seeing as airfields are one of the places in the game that spawn decent loot. This mofo is either full-retard, or he was spawning in the tower for decent loot.

What a retard. There is clearly a radio tower North of Cherno that allows for snipers to hit targets in and around the Northern Hospital with ease.

It doesn't matter where you put your tents - someone will find them. We have put them in the farthest reaches of Chernarus, and yet we got raided last night. And the night before (different location) and a couple of nights ago. Storing shit in tents is retarded. Tents WILL be found and raided. Admins aren't out to get everyone. Camp/ tent hunters are. Store your junk in a car - and then find the absolute most remote location you can think of to park it when you log off. And the move it to a different location everytime you log off. As for explosions - M203 HE rounds are EVERYWHERE. Guess what? They explode. -

No there isn't an official one. But there is an un-official SP 'trainer' that uses all DayZ code. given that it is a mission file that calls upon the DayZ mod. I would assume if it is in there it is legal in MP. Also: BurritoBandit never said he used it in an "official" SP mode. Fuck knows where you two champions of the wasteland got that from. -

It normally occurs after you log in next. If it affects you your kills will reset to 0. Taking it off makes no difference. If it happens to you, you will retain your backpack (everything that's in it) and your equipment. Swim to shore, and then run east. It only happens once, and then you are free to go about your day.
