Imagine it though, a special event : earthquake. Buildings shatter, maybe increase all spawn rates during and after said quake (like a military response team just died, loot em'). It'd be fantastic, a second apocalypse in my apocalypse. APOC-ACEPTION!

Title, anyone have any decent tips for unarmed players survival (Aside from looting, the bugger doesn't have a gun and bandits are chasing him) One thing I do in scenarios of lack of weaponry, I play audio files of gun fire in my mic. It does scary away noobie bandits. Anyone got any tips for the weaponless?

Before I start, how do I describe this wonderful game in both one word and one sentence?... I guess "Wonderful."... but that just doesn't do it justice...

Single players are being screwed, no doubt about it, and as a single player I can tell you we're being screwed in many ways... and positions. I have like 16 pieces of meat that I can't even use properly to heal right now, its literally just taking up space, and as a vigilante hero, helping noobs with 4000 blood is kinda difficult (especially when they're stupid and try to actually kill me), and with that lack of steak, I'm basically left for dead. I kinda preferred the old system of food. Sure opponents could heal in like 10 seconds by stuffing their cheeks, but so can you! Didn't really make it unfair, as team duos would still be safer as one could blood bag while the other shoots, while loners would have that consequence of you know, being alone. These changes are really screwing over a lot of people, as I know there are a lot of loner-players out there. I mean, sometimes we might join a group, but eventually we cut ourselves off. So yea, please don't screw us... lul. :F

Doesn't that mean its the last place you look, since there are only North, South, East and West? Also, just mentioning it doesn't make it a worse hiding spot, people will still hide just as much as stuff as they usually do by the forest at NWAF.

Mate, you shouldn't just super bump your own servers, no matter how badly you wish to have them advertised, it's just unethical.

The forest above Cherno by Gvozdino is really nice, no one thinks anyone would be stupid enough to hide there, so its never checked thoroughly.

Some clan on a private server was shooting unarmeds, so I killed 3 of them. Afterwards basically anyone with like a fancy hat (it was like their clan tag) started trying to kill me. I actually faked my own death by diving out of my motorcycle before a cliff as it blew up, and typing in side chat "OH SHIT!" They then called me a noob and ish, assuming I had fallen, and strode off. Thankfully, I was able to lead them close to my camp, and followed sneakily behind in my UAZ. After they led me to their base, I took to looting, and actually found 2 satchel charges. I took the SUV, drove it out of the satchel radius, and waited by the green mountain entrance (This is where their camp was). After about 2 hours 2 UAZs and a URAL drive in. They open the gates, go inside, and one guy goes "Hey gaize wheres the SUV?" Walk in front of gate, close door, they start yelling, and (feeling badass) I walk as they try to shoot me, calmly say into my mic "Yippee Kay yay mother fuckers..." and blow the living shit out of them. So. Much. Rage. Ensued. The slung every cuss word at me, and thus I cruised down the coast, seeing some of their recently revived members, in my new beautiful SUV.

Idk about helpful where they just give away stuff like that, but I recall one time a hacker killed the server, so as compensation (since the backup files were being buggy) we all got either 1 off road vehicle, a bike and a gun, or a hunting rifle (M14 AIM kinda things) with 4 clips. So I like compensation, but I don't like free and up for grabs..

That. That would be pretty handy. Like maybe on that doesn't enhance as well, but at least lets you know your surroundings, vs one where its like everything's clear, vs one with like flare protection, and maybe each would have different spawn rates. Maybe even spawn in em backpacks, I find it strange all the backpacks in the world are empty.

That would be pretty cool though, maybe make it a military/heli crash zone spawn, lets you scale buildings and ish. Would really help PvP if the fags be camping a school and blocking the ladders with sandbags. As for grabbing heli's and shit, this is a simulator. That heli would rip my bloody arms off the moment it took off, stick to a grappling hook to be used like a grappling hook, not as a ninja.

A lot of servers tend to have websites dedicated to bounty hunters. You basically post an article saying goals ie; Kill (Name) and a reward. I remember on a server (forgot the name, had the word slut in it if that helps lol) there was section for "additional details" like if you wanted said bountyhunters to scare them with a hatchet at midnight or some crazy shit like that. Either way, glad to see this concept has made it's way to the official Dayz mod forum.

Ironically, the forests north of Cherno, by Nadezhdino is very unpopulated, giving you access to decent firestation and civilian gear, has a lake a bit of a ways south, and the scenery is just beautiful. Oh. And its really easy to pick of the noobs running by the road.

Still, one has to remember that customization would help, considering everyone is just a regular survivor skin. I guess some clothes would make you a bigger target, but mostly military grades. I doubt anyone would loot the guy in a rainbow jumpsuit, too easy to see. Unless its for gits and shiggles.

The issue is battleye being a butt. Its because there's been a kind of recent hack update, and they're trying to patch it out, hence why it's been updating rather frequently.

My profile pic shows what I did IRL when I saw that skin lol. I am hoping in future updates, mayhaps they will include that, and maybe increase clothing drops. There are like 1 million survivors running around, and they all look like noobies, new clothing would be fantastic.

Was recently reading another topic (Where I was GROSSLY misled by a show button) about like potential endings for dayz. This steadily led to the topic of clothing, and I feel like after all the primary polishing and work is done, some custom skins should be added, maybe the ability to loot a body of their clothes too. Run around dressed as that weird zombie with the beret... In a nutshell, what kind of skins are projected in the future? Will they require DLC's also for the standalone, will the standalone have DLC's, and will the dayz mod support these new skins without a standalone? Speculations? Curiosity? Why am I so beautiful? Several things I'm wondering at the moment. Also, what kind of skins do you guys think will be projected into the game in the near future. >inb4 SWAT ARMY NINAJUGUH, seriously, there are other topics that seem to be dedicated to just those kind, I am wondering more on like survivor skins, what could they have that makes them different, mayhaps like a whole wardrobe of potential impersonation of my beauty

A lot of people are getting that, it's because battleye is trying to get rid of a recent hack debut, which is why its been updating like twice a day these -ahem- dayz (Get eet?) Just be patient, they'll probably fix it, but don't hold your breath, battleye has had some issues for a while...
