Once. Happened after a server restart, I was going through the residential blocks above cherno when I noticed that some of the buildings have their doors opened. Which simply meant that there was someone there. I've spotted him at the school and he must have seen me too as he took cover. I went around, climbed on the high building so i saw all the exits and the roof top clearly. And then he came out with an m4 ready in his hand trying to get a view of me at my old position. Shot him twice with my mosin and saw his body sink into the ground. Normally i don't do this kind of things but I've got killed there before on my 4 day char. Didn't want it to happen again and I made sure that I wasn't getting shot in the back.

It looks interesting, and the rocky ravines they got the look nice as well can't wait till these locations are actually finished.

In that case once they add vehicles and there will be some that you can't enter you will request to spawn in with one as well, because you need to be compensated for laziness?

Mosin with LRS and bipod seems to do it for me. I'm not into sniping people but its perfect for scouting area, before moving in.

I think once they fix combat logging everything is going to calm down. People will be afraid of logging out in the building and changing server, as they can come across other players that will very likely open fire as soon as they see them spawn, and with the logging out timer etc, they wont be able to escape which will result in death.

Tbh you shouldn't even spawn in with flashlight (and i wouldn't be surprised if it gets taken out later). And what you are saying is that spawning in on a beach sometimes in a middle of a forest with a melee weapon will add more realism to the game? Rethink that. Don't worry the weapons reach will most likely be addressed, if i recall correct in one of the streams Rocket said that they are still working on the swing animations etc. Want some advice? Try harder and stop looking around the coast for the best loot eva, cause you will not find it there.

Had a similar bug, but without logging out. I couldn't make rags out of a T-shirt, then passed out from bleeding & died. But I believe this wasn't the games fault but the Server.

Maybe sub stories kindda like it was in The Last of Us. You walk into a house find a letter with some story, in some a combination for a safe that is upstairs, coordinates of a base they were heading to. You know, things you could explore.

Can I ask how old are you & how long have you been playing DayZ for?

I've got one at home, and got it to work with DayZ SA to certain point. ATM with current resolution it doesn't do anything good. You can't see anything in the distance, so really you are on a disadvantage. But like someone mentioned once they push out OculusRift 4K this game will be amazing on it. I will do some more testing with it, maybe I will menage to improve couple things. Maybe even make a vid ;)

or maybe the way they done it in the mod, where you cannot log out when another player is close by. Do the same when you are trying to switch servers - you would be held in the lobby until the other player is out of range (couple meters).
