This is a lie. Our helicopter survived several server restarts without dissapearing until it was stolen. -
You know these people are just buying new keys and editting their registry, right? This is not the way to stop the hackers, but it is better than doing nothing at all.

win7 64bit i5 2500k @4.7ghz 8gb ram crossfire 6950 2gb Steady 60fps countryside and small towns with everything set to very high except for HDR and object detail which sits on high. Also went with FXAA high + sharp filter. Major cities like Elektro and Cherno do cause some serious drops depending on the server. The recent updates helped my framerate quite a bit. But I am having some serious LOD switching issues. -

Any tips on where people usually hide their vehicles? We got our chopper stolen the day after we repaired it, which already sucks balls. On top of that we're having an extremely hard time finding any vehicles whatsoever on our server. I already did a tour of the outside of the map on our bike, but no luck there neither. You can PM me if you want. -

You also should be able to find a barbeque and make 'Delicious Steaks'. These items should give back double the blood that normal meat does. Also, there should be boat trailers in the game which you can attach to certain vehicles (ex. the pick up trucks), so you can take your boat to different places than the sea.

This please. :) Flying at night with the searchlight on and then being able to talk to people on the ground would be so fucking awesome. Our chopper just survived a restart completely intact. Gear inside of it also saved like you would expect to. Happy! Fought a damn war to get to it and fix it too. -

I've been running around with this particular gun for a few days now, also not the first character that I found it on, and the power is more than enough to mow down anyone in range. Right now, we have 5 of these guns in our group. All of us agree that this thing does not belong in DayZ. -
There was 4 of us there. We all heard the guy talking, made our mate here come out of hiding after we hit the dirt, made him sing a Justin Bieber song then the guy just appeared. We assumed he was invisible since none of us could see him before that, even though all of us had L85s. He then talked some more and eventually spawned that chopper right in front of our noses. Seconds later we opened fire on him and surpringly he did actually die. Out of pure panic we aborted to the lobby, afraid he would teleport back and kill everyone. Usually I record everything but this came so unexpected that I just didn't think about hitting record.

The only weapon that needs to be removed is the L85 AWS. The scope is just... urgh. If you used it, you know it's terribly overpowered. -

Perhaps I'm just not used to it anymore but shooting pretty much anything gets you so many zombies... And I could swear they just keep coming, I went from 30 zombie kills straight to about 68 after shooting the M1911 in Polona, not even that big of a town. And the reduced damage definitely doesn't help getting rid of them neither, it takes about 3 shots in the body to take one zed down. (with the 1911 that is)

I don't get why people are arguing here. Hackers must be dealt with, if you believe otherwise there is something wrong with your attitude. Just because DayZ is free and the team doesn't owe us anything doesn't mean hackers should be able to go ahead and ruin everyone's day. That's a bullshit argument and is completely irrelevant. -
I hereby declare ourselfs the 'Cherno Vigilantes'. Our goal will be to protect the innocent while they're gathering supplies or are passing through after a respawn. Armed individuals are considered dangerous and will be shot on sight. Hatchets or crowbars are in the grey zone, but we will not hesitate to shoot if you make any suspicious movements towards other humans in the area. We are not an organised group but we hope more people will believe in our ideals and help us out on other servers.

I'm sorry sir, but you are completely wrong. The story I put in the description and in the first post of this thread is 100% accurate, I assure you. Fair enough though, I knew I would catch at least some flak on this video but I uploaded it anyway. Any negativity I brought upon myself.

It's not the admin. Definitely hackers. I know hous3cat, the admin, from another forum.

I play on this same server. I was not there when the teleportation happened but I can confirm choppers are being spawned. I found one in Cherno just an hour ago, parked next to a gas station, however not flyable because the engine and main rotor need repairs.

No masks, just chose black skins and glasses when creating our profiles in ARMA.

Haha, I imagine it being pretty scary indeed, even more so when sitting at your camp at night with just flashlights to look around with.
