Injectors like that usually don't trigger anti-cheat systems. For instance, I used an FXAA injector playing Battlefield 3 competitively, even on LAN tourny's, none of the anti-cheat systems used there ever complained about it. It's much like having a Fraps or Steam overlay, I have never seen anyone get booted for that neither. Then again, this is Arma/DayZ, I guess there' s always that odd chance that something bad will happen. -

Played on the Chernarus#1 server. Enjoyed it a lot, met someone who was friendly and spent the rest of the day surviving with him. Server load times are the fastest I've ever seen, loot spawns work like they should, no derping zombies, all around friendly people in the side chat. I like this server a lot. -

Stop using these shitty launchers and read up on how to do this manually. I swear everytime I read or hear people ranting about their DayZ not working they happen to be using a launcher. Coincidence? I think not. I have told countless friends to drop their DayZ launchers and to do it manually, every single one of them now does it by hand and none of them has ever had a problem since.

That's bullshit. Trees render all the way up to what your view distance is set at, granted at a lower resolution, but they're still being rendered. If it can render trees like that, it can render grass. Especially when you figure that the view distance in DayZ is set to what? 1000 meters? It's just stupid, you can lay there in the grass, thinking you're camouflaged(and rightly so) while some guy standing 150 meters further doesn't see a single sprite. You might aswell be wearing a high visibility jacket at that point. If it's not possible to render grass al the way to the maximum view distance, than at the very least double it.

I hope grass will render at least as far as the view distance. I also hope they fix the god-awfull LOD switching. As of now, I can literally see the gras and trees load in as I walk towards them.

Guys, did you read the OP? The wording is always very important. Rocket never said it was fixed, he assumed it was. Now, this is where we, the alpha testers, come in. We test the game to see if whatever Rocket did actually fixed the problem. We have come to the conclusion that it doesn't so we report it. THIS IS WHERE IT SHOULD END. There is no point in blaming Rocket or anyone else, it is a waste of time to keep rambling about it. Test -> observe -> report -> move on Stick to it.

Buy a 6 or 8 core to do what? Sit there and stare at the other 2 or 4 cores just idling? Arma 2 barely uses 4 cores. I'd be content if the next engine supports 4 cores native...

This is because your DayZ character is linked to your Steam serial key. I believe you can reset this by deleting the registry entry. So delete the registry entry on your brother's PC. (you'll have to do some googling yourself as I don't know exactly how to do this) To play on the same server at the same time, you will need to tell the game to use a different port. Otherwise both clients will just try to connect through the default port, which obviously will not work. The parameter you want is -port='port' where 'port' is the port number you would like to use. Use something like -port=5000 on either your brother's game or yours. -
Rare? Bullshit, with all the duping going on, every single fucking tent I come across has at least one in it. I have said it before, this weapon(at least with this scope) does not belong in DayZ. It BREAKS the balance in PVP encounters, if your squad does not have at least one L85, YOU LOSE. There is no more hiding, no more sneaking, ghillie suit becomes useless, vegetation becomes obsolete. I have a question for the people who want to keep this gun in the game: Why? Why do you want this gun? You like to argue that it's not OP, that it's a weak weapon. Why do you want to keep it so bad?

No. You just want this weapon back because it would get you easy player kills. Seriously, this gun is already extremely powerful and will one-hit kill almost every time, and you want to add a thermal scope to it? For the love of God, man, get a grip. Not going to happen.
