Slight modification to model & texture of AKM magazine gives a nice orange bakelite mag for the ak74. Bumping so other people might start on the list too. Or so somebody can say: "Stop, we already did these!" -

In no particular order all of these items spawn in green pouches: AKM Magazine G17 Magazine M9 Magazines MP5 Magazines Makarov Magazine Smoke grenades (already have models in game) M67 Frag grenade (already has a model in game) M203 grenades Compass (already has a model in game) Map GPS Watch (already has a model in game) They are small items that are difficult to get a good look at and tend to spawn en masse, so I figured low poly would be best, but it might not be what they're after. I will hold off making anymore until there is word from somebody that the models are actually wanted and how detailed they are required to be. Edit: It's addictive... I don't know how to convert .3ds files to Arma but I know it is possible. AKM Magazine (1 hour, 115 polys) -

Makarov magazine (45 minutes, 65 polys) There is already a model for the compass and watch in the game. Maybe there is a reason why they aren't used on the ground? Do all pistol magazines have no model? -

This could easily be a community project considering how busy the dev team is and how little effort it takes to model and texture these things. (5 minutes, 5 polys, 35kb texture) If somebody could post a list of things that spawn in green pouches that would be a good start. -

Yes. The entire forum was restored to a previous version because a butthurt kid scripted into the ftp server and attempted to rustle all the jimmies. Fortunately the only jimmies he displaced were his own... and yours. -

OP is mad because lone bandits & groups of bandits are killing new players. OP believes that dying in a game serves no other purpose than to frustrate a player. OP thinks the solution is for PVP groups to relax and share the beans under a rainbow that deflects bullets & zombies. OP used real world examples to support OP's viewpoint but couldn't decide if Players were too fat or too scrawny. Regardless, OP was 100% sure they would lose in a real gun fight against the captain of the football team a.k.a King Bandito. Thankfully he doesn't play DayZ. I am 0% sure what relevance that holds. OP is successful troll. TL;DR bind [tab] to 'direct chat VoIP', turn mic boost to +100db, hold down [tab] and run through elektro singing "WHAT IS LOVE! BABY DON'T HURT ME! DON'T HURT ME! NO MORE!" -

If I was one of the players that were killed I would be pretty pissed off. There should be a bigger punishment for teaching an audience an exploit. He certainly didn't show any hesitation to go and do it twice, which I believe is a permaban according to the rules. It is a rare occasion where you can actually prove it like this. -

I've seen apple trees in backyards in Chernarus. Would be pretty easy to make the apple tree entity spawn 'apple' loot underneath it.

Excellent post. You only forgot to mention bunny killing .22lr. This has already been suggested and I believe, but I'm not sure, it is being worked on. Modelling for ArmA is time consuming so it may be awhile before hunting rifles show up.

Rocket expressed concern that if this became a stand alone game he wouldn't want it immediately banned in Australia & Germany. Killing children, regardless of their hostility would be a surefire way to do that.

Zombies have amazingly accurate hearing, fire off one shot and they all know in unison: ENEMY MAN. 100 METERS. NORTH. APARTMENT BUILDING. FOURTH FLOOR BEDROOM. PRONE. WEEPING.

Rocket should put a money item in, just for lols. Make $100 notes spawn in the trash piles so that when the excrement code is implemented the players will have something to wipe themselves with after they pewp.

One time I got bored and lit up Kamenka (i think it was kamenka) with 29 flares around the town and surrounding area. I carried the last one into the center of town, got a horde following me and ran into the two storey house. Thirty headshots later a bandit showed up, he stood at the back of a long line of zombies and started taking shots at me. Eventually he scored enough hits on me and I got knocked down, the zombies got to me and I was killed. Bandit: another one bites the dust Bandit: protip: dont use so many flares lol Bandit was killed. Can this just be a dumb bandit/survivor thread? -
I thought I would try it out for a while before I posted in the 'I HATE TEMP THREAD' I don't hate it but I agree with 90% of the posts here that it is far from realistic and shouldn't be as harsh as it is. I know all player needs are scaled up because it is a game (10 x food & drink a day or DEATH) but temperature seems to be scaled up too much. It should really only be a problem in the rain at night or in water as I believe it was intended. Suggestion because I can; maybe when tempval is falling at a fast rate the player can start shivering and teeth chattering. An audible and visual cue to get to cover before tempval gets too low.

There is a loooong timeout until they give up looking for you. If it was reduced it would resolve a lot of weird behaviour.

I was shot twice by a cz550 in my first 5 minutes of the game, neither shot killed me and after murdering my attacker I went on to live a long, happy and productive life in DayZ. I hardly ever use the CZ but I've never one shotted anybody :(
