server difficulty setting was too low

bump and +1 the murder counter is used for trophy screenshots and confirming kills, neither of which should be encouraged. debug monitor will eventualy be removed anyway so I guess the problem will solve itself.

DayZ Maintenance ~ Should be functional again
dut replied to Vipeax's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Wow... what a douchebag. The IP in one of his posts leads to Ontario, Canada. Somebody should backtrace it and implode his gibson with a multiheaded worm (a hydra?) A HYDRA! -
How come threads like these always end up with posts like that?
-
Why do you expect a reply when none of the things you listed have anything to do with the topic of this thread? Offtopic: Barbed wire spam was the result of a bug that is being remedied in the next patch.

Name of player: iSenior Other players featured in video: Mr.Gazz Logzorz Jimieus (Now goes by [HB]Jimieus) Saturayte [HB]Torusk Server: It never shows up but they are Australian so it shouldn't be that hard to track down. Spotted a few of the players on ANZ1 tonight. What happened: All of them are using hacked weapons. Some of them are using them against other players. At the start you can see iSenior's BE client is acting weird. Watch the video.

Looking good. How about... Shovel, sledgehammer, axe handle, tyre iron/jack handle, star picket (waratah), cricket bat and probably the hardest thing to model... a plank of wood. Just throwing ideas out there, not actually requests. Very impressed that nobody has mentioned katanas in this thread.
-
OP has a good point and I agree. But this thread will turn to crap faster than you can say "omg y u nerfing banditss?" "You obviously suck at the game" "lrn2play" "go play CoD you carebear"
-
Doesn't try to hide it in fancy lyrics, you're gonna die and there's nothing you can do about it. and then rocket added the option to be a female and the forums turned into this:
-
NZ7 is an On3 server right? Check the on3 teamspeak channel for an admin at ts.on3network.co.nz. Failing that you could post on the on3 forums. Screenshots would be good too.

+1 Could use the existing tent bag model slung over the shoulder.

Battleye bypassed. Rocket burned out. The end of DayZ?
dut replied to jafit's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The way I see it this will speed up the implementation of making local server hives. Eliminating server hopping and putting bans and data backup responsibilities in the hands of server admins. Or make DayZ a closed alpha. Rocket has stress tested the server enough there isn't a need to have so many players anymore. But that's just like, my opinion... man. -
When scripting, duping or hacking is made impossible there should be a wipe. Otherwise it's only going to work in their favour.
-
It is frustrating the amount of hacking/scripting in DayZ. Especially because the legal gear they spawn will stick around even after the hacker is killed and banned. Currently I'm using a coyote 24 pack, gps, toolbox etc that I got after I killed a hacker, his rifle disappeared but the rest remained... I really hope there is a full inventory wipe when scripting is fixed. Edit: Also the video is a bad look for NZers. I thought we were a better lot than that.

Why I generally avoid servers at night...
dut replied to Kashus's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The buildings aren't blocking the flare, it is about 2/3rds up the hill and clearly visible. "But the ineptitude of players who bitch is really ridiculous." That's a terrible attitude to have. It's probably the reason why you missed the point of Adanteh's post completely. -

If you want to keep a helicopter you have to pay to be admin of a server. Sorry, them's the rules.

Why I generally avoid servers at night...
dut replied to Kashus's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
When I first started playing the game I went on night servers and it was great fun. But now that I'm a super srs hardcore player I just leave the server unless I have NVGs or thermals. "Use flares" haha, yeah sure. Rocket says it is great to make an online experience that doesn't conform to the 'balancing' tedium that most multiplayer games have and I agree... But those games are largely free of exploits and the stakes are not as high. It would be very interesting to know how many pairs of NVGs were legitimately found rather than duped or taken from dead hackers. I have a slim hope that in a future update they will try removing NVGs and thermals and it will make night servers enjoyable/played again. -
How to practice all weapons in singleplayer?
dut replied to despair (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Host a multiplayer game and click Editor or whatever it says in the top right. Then set it up exactly the same way but add 2 playable characters instead of 1. Or install the mod that Jose Jalapeno posted. -
How to practice all weapons in singleplayer?
dut replied to despair (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Single Player->Editor->Proving grounds Double click the map. Click okay. Double click next to blue dot. Click team or side (whatever it is) choose 'Empty' and change type to Ammuniton. Choose US Special weapons crate. Click okay. Click preview. -
--------------- ---------------Realism eh? 1.You could use a couple of sticks to flatten it. 2.You could use a dead body to flatten it. 3.You could even shoot the wire! (PING! ahh my eyes!) 4.You could use your hatchet to knock down the spikes. 5.You could carefully use your boot to flatten it. 6.You could dive over it (admittedly with a heavy pack on your back you would probably belly flop into it and it would be hilarious) 7.You could drop your pack onto it to flatten it. 8.You could wrap your shirt around your hand and carefully disassemble it. 9.You could run straight into it as fast as you can (seriously I've seen this and he only got a few scrapes from when it tripped him up) All barbed wire does right now is encourage people server hop.

This is the thread: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1246&pid=100330#pid100330 I was sure rocket had posts in that thread too but maybe they got removed when the forum was rolled back.

Worst possible "date" ever...I don't even... FML (serios)
dut replied to Merszowszczyzna's topic in DayZ Mod Gallery
why did you copy and paste that story? I swear it's almost a decade old now. should be in off-topic. if it was up to me it'd be a ban. -
Downed choppers too common? Thoughts? (PIC)
dut replied to phisher34's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I've only found two, but I know of people who drive a circuit around the spawn locations and find at least two every day. No worries if they lose their vehicle because they'll find it again in their chopper. -
The wire is usually carefully placed so that using a toolbox is impossible despite most of the wire being visible. To me it is just retarded, you think blocking a building like this will protect you and your server hopping buddies while you loot? Every other player can server hop too. All the wire does is encourage this shitty behaviour.
