I've played on the server for some time now and I've enjoyed myself quite alot. The main difference from other servers I have played on is the KoS rule that have been implemented. It have come to my attention that many people comes to the conclusion that the game is boring without the danger of getting shot at any time. Well that might be true for some but I think that's the thing that takes the DayZ experience to a whole other level. On the public server the best tactic is to don't trust anyone, and that's basically what you do if you want to be successful. But here you cannot just shoot and then be done with it, this server actually requires you to make interactions with other players before you shoot them which really makes the game alot more interesting and rewarding. I mean who can you really trust? It creates another kind of paranoia than just kill or be killed, the survival of the fittest. You don't have to be the best player to be successful, for example if you're a good con artist it would be really easy to trick somebody into trusting you and then stabbing them in the back when a good opportunity arises. That's what true survival is all about and I think that is how it was meant to be in the beginning. And make no mistake just because you cannot shoot on sight doesn't make the server any less dangerous. People might play nice with you for the moment but wait until you turn your back or move away from safety, then you will realise just how cruel and unforgiving DayZ can be. Trust me you will still die, the difference is if you like to get sniped randomly after spending countless of hours gearing up or if you actually want the chance to either comply and get robbed of your stuff or fight to protect what is yours. The choice of how you want to play is really up to you. If you're a roleplayer like me, this is really the server for you. I will not state that everyone in the server are dedicated roleplayers but there are people that are and projects to create better roleplay on the server is being worked on. My impression on the roleplay aspect of the game is that if you lead by example others will follow which really has motivated me to keep on staying in character. All my other attempts to roleplay on other servers has ended up bit a bullet to the face, which I kinda suspected it would have. It has a really strong community and dedicated staff. The forums is very active and the shoutbox that they have is just hilarious at times. No matter if you're a new player of a veteran of DayZ the DayZ RP server brings a experience that I would recommend to all of you out there.
