So my friend found a vehicle and was using it for storage. He just put a heli main rotor assembly inside and it disappeared. He then tried stuffing it with different things (guns, magazines, cans, etc) and all had different results on when they would disappear. Are they any helpful charts out there as to how much you can stuff in a vehicle? It's not helpful because it doesn't seem to be correct. You can't put 10 weapons in a bus.

So my brother and I share the same computer to play DayZ. Currently we are just playing the same character but I found a post on how you can change the cd key in the registry to switch between two copies of the game. We are currently playing on a copy of Combined Operations from Amazon. I was going to buy another copy for another cd key. Does anyone know if I can just buy Operation Arrowhead or does it use both keys from CO to register in DayZ?

It is frowned upon. Mainly because it makes the game less fun for people trying to be immersed in the environment and others are popping in and out of existence in another meta game instead.

I believe the red tint is supposed to help keep your eyes from loosing their night vision in real life at least.

There is a HUGE thread on the Arma II forums about this, specifically with ATI cards. I fixed it by upping the AGP aperture size in the BIOS, but unless your computer is as old as mine + running XP, there probably is no such thing as AGP aperture. Yes that should work. If you uninstall it from steam will need Combined Ops from Amazon.

I bought CO but ended up showing up in the cart as just Arma 2 + OA seperate. Installed Arma 2; ran it once. Installed OA; ran it once, then my shortcut changed into Combined Ops (but just ran the OA exe).

You'll have to buy Combined Ops again.

Wait. Sorry been awhile since I installed windows. Does your copy not also have 64 bit? The one you purchase comes with both.

Was just at their site, damn they charge way too much for their pile of crap. Arma II has more work put into it (and a lower user-base) and they charge $200 for their gimped shit home version. So upgrade version is $119 instead of $199 and I would image your product key would work. Guess try ordering it on their site and see.

I'd switch to 64 bit. You're not utilizing your cores or memory properly with 32 bit. Other than that, that system should be rocking. Unless maybe your hdd is really slow or cheap mobo.

This really depends on when they last restarted the server. That's the time it will ALWAYS be when you first join. So if they restarted it just before evening, you will have a play a few hours before it gets dark. New joiners will still be in day though. The time sent when you join is the last server restart time, not the time it currently is.

I always see finding friends as part of the game. Many movies about zombies have this same concept. The main plot is the characters trying to hook up with family members and friends and their journey to do so.

This game is about seeing how long you can survive.

Yea, I wish it was more like minecraft. Where he would twitter about games he's playing, parties he was going to, vacations he would have to take because of all the "work" he was doing. Then after about 3 months he would release a new block (16x16 texture) and everyone would go wild about his genius. Oh wait, no I like it better this way, with a guy who actually works on his game.

Yea, there is Arma 2 the game, and this mod for the game Rocket is working on. You need to fill out a bug report for Arma 2 on their site, not on the dayz forum. The inventory has worked this way since OFP (although OFP was only a scroll menu). When you pick up another primary it tries to make things easier by also swapping out your primary mags with what fits the gun you just grabbed. This works for Arma pretty well, since you aren't using flashlights and axes and stuff usually.

Yea I think some people might be just hesitant to talk over voice. I remember playing games when actual text chat was first new. People were afraid to use that too. Now it's no big deal. This game is revolutionary in it's "talk in person" only mechanic. I think it's a great time to be in on something like this. People will get used to it, but change is tough, especially for the older ones playing. Give it time.

I kind of thought the point of this game was to see how long you can last. If you have a high chance of dying right away then it's a challenge to see if you can make it longer. Otherwise, what type of game is it?
