I think the 107 at least should stay because it is possible American (or NATO) troops would mobilize and along with their current arsenal, include a .50 caliber rifle in case of scenarios that they needed them like disabling vehicles that belong to bandits. In order to balance the larger rifles, the crosshair should be removed in all difficulties and in order to shoot without a ridiculous amount of sway, you must first get into "position" which includes lying prone and folding out your bipod. Someone earlier said we should have no scopes and semi/full auto weapons so that leaves... Lee Enfields for everyone!

This is similar to the mechanic in L4D like the construction zombies that don't hear pipe bombs. I know "Oh no not more L4D stuff" but hear me out, since there are varying environments in chernarus, like farmland, urban, lakes, oceans etc, there would be different people. I am not saying add the hunter or whatever but in Chernarus it's only logical to maybe find a construction worker with his hearing protection thus not being as perceptable to noise, maybe a once hearty farmer still carries over his strength with increased damage. And also, logical loot with this for example, the military zombies already can carry magazines but the construction worker might carry scrap metal, a doctor zombie might have an epi-pen etc.

Are we proposing a weight based system?

I think the crosshair should be removed on all difficulties since it's really easy to hip shot this sniper. Also, the size of those things are massive! I would like to have a backpack but maybe the gun could eat up some space in the internal inventory due to the weight. You should also be slower because of how cumbersome and unwieldly it is.

In order to do this, one must have more to live for rather than "Oh he shot me, can you guys give me a helo ride back to camp?"

What if you threw the bloody whiskey bottle at a player and attracted all the zombies to them? And then used your empty blood bag and filled it with zombie blood and then killed the zombies attacking that player. You then administer the zombie blood as an apology. He later dies of "unknown" circumstances. There's lots of new potential to this new crafting system. Take a wood pile and a knife and make yourself a club, or wood and scrap metal and a fire for a hatchet.

You might be able to find better magazines too like the Magpul PMags rather than the standart G.I. magazines

I think one would be cool but not as far as gameplay. I think a Halo: Waypoint system is pretty good. Track your stats with the categories on the DayZ homepage (murders, zombie kills, headshots, etc) Go on the forums Check the population of your favorite servers

If you really need to, you might want to have a friend in the tree is with a sniper. Make sure you have the correct zeroing and don't tell the partners about your sniper. Also, make sure you have an escape route. As well as having your sniper, give him your important items like rifle or backpack but I suggest keeping your sidearm.

I would suggest if you don't have anything, make friends cause if they shoot you what are they gonna get? Your flashlight? Friends can make the game much easier and more enjoyable. Do not however team up if you have good items because that DMR looks appetizing to almost everyone.
