One time I was just driving a bus and I got that weird message. It wouldn't let me rejoin that server but I could join other ones. -

I only really ever play on private hives, so I don't really know if it's different to what you go on but I can see direct chat and hear direct voice chat too. -
Keep getting banned from random servers

Maybe you downloaded a key stealer and your key was swapped with a banned one. They do things like this to trick you into thinking the hack was real but it is detected so you don't flag the YouTube video. Have you downloaded anything? Sometimes "DayZ FPS Boosters" are keystealers too. -
I get that message whenever I join a server, I don't freeze or anything :S

I have an i5 (not the same as yours :( ), my resolution is 1920x1080, I haven't changed any of the graphics settings and it looks pretty good for me. -
I have one of those cards, I can record and play with no lag. Maybe it's just you? edit: Turn down your graphics settings too.
