My point is: 1. The team of 5 can play the game, using the current system of TS3 with PUSHTOTALK enabled, thus the 5th Player can give orders without his ears bleeding. Enabling the feature in this thread, means no group of players can be near eachother, becuase of the overwhelming background noises that would happen. 2. The Fresh spawn wont fix his mic, because HE CANNOT HEAR IT, only others can with your proposed system. 3. Software that is DEDICATED towards voice communication (TS3, Mumble, vent, Skype, etc ) do not filter out background noises, its not even technically POSSIBLE to do that. If there is noise in a room, the mic will pick it up! The solution to background noise is PUSHTOTALK. This feature would not work with PTT therefore will NOT WORK.

If you were playing with a group of 5 in DayZ, and Everyone had open mics, the ammount of background garbage would make the game unplayable. Player 1 has a friend over, and he is talking to that friend while playing the game. Player 2 has a dog barking Player 3 Is shouting at his mother to turn the TV down Player 4 has a lawnmower going outside his window Player 5 is trying to tell the group to head north Random Fresh spawn is running past and has a Broken mic, causeing ear bleeding sounds Random Bandit is trying to sneak up on the group and is talking on TS3 aswell Can you imagine the sounds coming out your speakers? Does not sound like fun to me.

Lately I have been playing as a Medic. Carrying no Weapons at all, and filling myself up with Medical gear. I saw a person with a gun in a hospital, he was bleeding, and running around franticly trying to find a bandage. I approached and said to him " Hi I am medic, Do you need help?". I had my arms Raised, and he turns around and see's me, he fumbles with getting his weapon out, and it takes him 3-5sec to aim down his sights and shoot me in the face. Him killing me, was not to 'better his survival chances', it actually made his chances WORSE.. He could not loot my body, cause it de-spawned. And I had a friend nearby that entered the hospital minutes later, to find the guy dead. he bled out....

oooo, Rocket mentioned Dogs, and that Items may record details about who used them. So adding 1+1, Maybe you will be able to Get your dog, to sniff items recently used, and the dog may Track down (Sniff out) the player that used the item last. Very Cool.

Since I first played DayZ, I have always Dreamed of how far the idea could go. A survival apocalypse game taken to the extreme. Idea's in this thread may come under the "impossible", but let us Dream. A huge map, is already in the making, it is 104km2, and would take around 20 hours to walk across: ( obviously it has little detail) A map of this size, could sustain thousands of players. With so many players, communities would start to gather together, and build a new life, while under constant raids from other players. Hiking across the map, would take days, vehicles would be a necessity, to anyone that wanted to travel great distances. Some day I hope there will be a Map the size of the United States...

Rocket stated in the latest interview on ShannonZKiller's stream, that to Enable/disable Third person, you would need to go into the menu/game options. I feel this is enough of a change, So that somone cant Toggle 3rd Person, peek around a corner, toggle back and shoot.

My Idea, is to be able to find a small/tiny Tracking device, that you can attach to another item ( To your Gun/Clothing/NVG/etc ) This Tracking device would be a very rare item. But if you ever had a really nice gun, or other item, you could attach a tracking device, so if a player steals that item, you still have a chance of getting it back by hunting that player down. 1. The Tracker location might only update every 1-5mins 2. Not completely accurate, maybe within 200 meters Tracking devices should be able to be removed by a player, but would need special tools to do so.

Your right it dosnt really fit. I just wanted some mechanic that would give you a Chance to hunt down an item you lost, or get revenge on your killer. But without it being too 'OP'. Another idea, would be to find NPC survivors, hiding in houses, and you could ask them what/who they have seen pass by recently. Maybe they could tell you the direction a player ran. You might also be able to do other things with NPC survivors, and even kill them to take stuff.

You are correct, it may cause an immersion issue, but on the other hand, I would imagine Satellites would not instantly spin out of control in an apocalypse. Smashing it should also be an option. I would imagine with the new Weapon customisation, if you find a Very rare Gun, and also attach several rare attachments over the days you survive, it would become an extremely difficult item to replace. One other problem with my idea, is that you Died... So why can you track an item after death? mmm...

TBH I would like the "Instantly healing" removed from both food, and blood... Instead: Blood regeneration- Hungry = 0 regen Normal = 50 regen per/min Well Fed = 100 regen per/min Blood bag = 3000 Blood, given over 1min Maybe blood bags could be given to yourself, but It would take more then 1 bag, to fully heal. Personal I prefer if blood bags cannot be given to yourself, Because it makes food useless.

regen of blood has been mentioned, and I love the idea. removing the instant food-to-blood is also good, HOWEVER, having no benefit from food is also bad. It would be nice if your blood regen was 1% or 0% if you were hungry. But if you are satisfied, it would be 2% or higher, if you recently ate.

The best spot to hide your chopper, is a place that is Impossible to get to... For example, there is a sunken ship @ 139,042 and you can land a Heli on the bow of the ship. its IMPOSSIBLE to climb up onto the bow, so it can never be stolen. It can only be shot at. To land on the ship, you have to wedge your chopper in-between the two struts.
