Devblog update: Where is the Standalone?
Toxiclegend replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
I love figuring out how to make these technical things work out been wrapping my brain round ideas that could actually work on this, I wont bump my own post but in another post I said about having biosuits to stop you catching diseases etc, you'll find it if you wanna read it. Doing things with clothing though is always a good way to encourage people not go out and look for more and more stuff, cargo pants, tactical vests, leg holsters etc the inspiration is every where, I guess you just have to know when to say stop or it becomes to much I guess. -
Haha! Now that did make me laugh, it's kinda hard to add level ups into this though, yeah it would be a good idea if after x amount of miles walked you could sprint faster or x amount of time ran you can steady your hands quicker after sprinting or whatever, but you'd have to make it like 50 miles then 200 miles like huuuuge distances stuff you couldn't grind up in a day, something that would take weeks/months to gain back then it'll make you more scared after loosing stuff thats actually taken you time to get

First of all sorry for the double post, but as we all know diseases are being thrown into the SA with possible ways to make your own cures looking possible, does this mean we can wear bioclothing you all know what I mean, the white suit that you see in films whenever there is a chemical attack. Cause if you could add them in that could mean imunity to diseases but the risk is that your in white so your highly visable with no backpack or little backpack space because you'd need to carry an oxygen tank or some sort to filter in clean air, but this could also lead onto being able to burn dead bodies if they have a disease you don't want spreading, fire as we all know kills most things so chopping wood and setting a body on fire could be another player way to control the spread of diseases across the map. Just an idea anyway

Give me a job too! Lost mine the other month >.< Any news on the closed test dates? Itching to see it >.> -
Yeah you do but you don't level up, you don't walk down the street and see "Congrats you now have 99 walking" The devs just need to find a way to make people want to throw their PC out the window when they die

R U DIZZY BLAD! (Fraggle will get it, most Brits will, although I don't talk anything like that in real life.) I've been patiently waiting for the SA well about as patient as everyone else anyway :P I'm not gonna jump on Take on helis because when the SA comes out I want it to be a new experience all together to make it feel right. Having cargo pants hold 2 slots is a good idea though, you could have 2 extra slots for mags or bandages, it could always come in handy, you could do the same things with tactical vests and stuff too if you worked this. I'm sure the Devs have the same ideas we all do, but I guess it's what they can and want to put it at release and slowly add bits as they go along with updates. I know I for one cannot wait to finally play the SA, I just wish we knew when the closed tests was so we can all get ready to watch the streams xD -
Yeah but this isn't an RPG it's meant to feel life like

Hi, yes this is my first post on here but I told my self I'd stay away until the SA is released but I can't I keep coming back checking for news and reading all the topics about the SA. It'll my my christmas come late :P Anyway on topic. You guys don't know what they are doing, obviously. With the disease system mentioned would you really want to go up to your dead body and risk catching a life threatening disease just for the sake of a few things you found out in the field anyway? If yes then consider the new item system they are working on, it'll happen like this: You loot your old body and manage to not get any disease from the body, you try put on that old ghilie you had them night vision goggles and what do you know the ghilie is carrying a disease and the night vision goggles need fixing cause they got shot. Now think to yourself was it worth running to your body to catch a disease and pick up useless goggles that need repairing? But in ways I do agree, there should be some sort of reward for staying alive for days, I'm not talking items, gun or anything like that, but to do with your charecter, some sort of increase in stats or reduced hand shaking after sprinting I dunno, but hopefully by adding the diseases and new item system people will care if they die, they wont just think "Oh, nevermind I'll just run back and reloot myself. Lets hope I get a good spawn"
