New weapon: fist / open hand

Or you could press \, which is the default button for saluting in the game...

    Infected can 'smell' low humanity...

Sounds to me like you don't like the way some people play a game... Making this game is all about co-op and carebears will derail this game. This game is about SURVIVAL, and enjoying the thrill of trying to figure out weather or not the guy in Stary's supermarket is friendly or not. Making this MOD, mind you, solely about sticking together will ruin the realism aspect. In a real world situation (take the tsunami in Japan for example: widespread looting, lack of power, drinkable water, food, etc.), people will try to survive on their own, as it is easier. If you want a zombie co-op game go play Dead State.

    Security/Safety Meter

****[NOTE]**** People who want to turn this game into a CoD deathmatch or just straight up assholes will be punished over-time. While on the other hand people who are pussies and stick in groups with friends of like 4-7 others will also be punished. If you and your friend are together just surviving, the meter stays still, while if you and a friend are mass-murders or shying away from zombies like bitches, then you will be punished too. ****[NOTE**** This is not promoting the idea of stoping banditry; nor is it trying to force people into groups. It is an idea which tries to 'split the gap'. There should be a meter called the 'security' or 'safety' meter. This would measure your relative 'safety' or how 'secure' one feels during a zombie apocalypse. When the meter is somewhere in the middle, you will be more aware of your surroundings: Zeds would grumble more clearly, you see farther, hear footsteps and gunshots farther away / louder, etc. You will also need less food/water and your aim will steady itself quicker after you have been running for awhile. You know, when you are in your 'peak performance' in a Zombie Apocalypse. When you are by yourself, the meter would begin to slip down. When this occurs, the noises of the game (zeds' grumbles, footsteps, breathing, etc) would become much more clear, but the other noises would fade away. You will need more food/water because it will simulate becoming a 'hermit' and beginning to panic and 'forgetting if you ate or not.' Your aim will never be true, it would begin to shake. Eventually you would begin to hear false footsteps and sounds. You will become more panic stricken the longer you are without human contact. However, when you are near someone (50 meters?) the meter would slowly shift to the other side. The more people you are near, the faster it would shift. When this happens, the noises of guns and footsteps would fade. You begin to feel 'safe' near people. It will be harder to deal with zombies, when you get near them the grumbles will be the only thing you hear and your aiming would be terrible. You would have to eat more frequently (Oh, instead of rationing these beens, I want them now!) and drink more as well. Eventually the noises which you should be paying attention too (zombies, gunshots, footsteps) will fade away to a point of sometimes, they go away completely and the 'natural noises' would overpower the other ones. Thank you for reading this! tl;dr : Read the damn post. >:P

    Zombie Migration and Pack Mentality

This is exactly what I was thinking. Perhaps have the spawning point for zombies be in the cities and then have them 'meet up' right out side of the city. They could then shamble in a direct line to other cities and get a few more each stop. 30-40 zombies would be a little heavy for the server to keep track of, even if there was only 4-5 groups. Perhaps 25-30 zeds would be perfect. I would shit my pants the second I saw one; one false move and you would have 30 zeds breathing down your neck before you could say 'HELP ME GUYZZZZZZZ!!!!111!1!one!!' on the chat. This is a great idea!
