  1. So i have narrowed the game down to about 10% scavenging and inventory management, about 5% of doing things like shooting and other side activities, but about 85% of the game seems to be running from place to place. It seems like all of that running gets very boring quickly. I'm just wandering if there is anything we could come up with to ask the developers if there is anymore fun or interesting ways to travel in a zombie apocalypse.
  2. Good point. I forgot about vehicles since i hardly ever use them. I wondering if having more interesting loot in the world and not having to travel to far to find it would be a good idea. Like gathering enough construction supplies to build an extra wall around your base or creating your own vehicles with weapon turrets attached to it.
  3. Like what about using fast travel when you are out of danger and only to areas you have already discovered?
  4. So I am usually a person who likes to plan there adventure on a video game ahead of time. Obviously there is no safe place on Chernarus. I always here people mentioning how dangerous Cherno, Elektro, and the North West International Airfield. I am asking where all the low traffic areas are on the map. Areas that I can loot and more likely will not run into bandits. An example would be which place would be more safer to loot between Novy Sobor and Zelenogorsk? I'm asking because during my first week of the game I am going to suck trying to stay alive and I just some good advice on where to go and where not to go.
  5. Are their any buildings in cities that are just for show and not for loot? I notice towns like Olsha and Pulkovo have no loot spawning buildings. Are they still worth checking for camping out in or making a safe place to check your gear before moving on to a new location? There are about a dozen or so of them on the map so I just got curious about the subject.
  6. Thanks guys. All your opinions and statistics on Chernarus have been really helpful. There are some areas i will definitely check out. I saw Frankieonpcin1080p go to the abandoned factorcy near Polana a bunch of times in his videos. I didn't even see that there was a northeast airfield until someone mentioned it in this forum. Also, I am really surprised that Berezino is a semi- safe place to loot because such a huge city on the coast. Anyway thanks again
  7. I find it interesting that great maps like lingor island and fallujah were player created. I mean these maps are huge and yet there pretty detailed. If anyone could take a good guess and tell how long and how hard it is to make a decent map on DayZ when the standalone comes out that would be great. I'm thinking about making maps myself and I like the idea of balance on a map where no area is truly safe.

    What about map editor?

Thanks guys, a lot of useful information from all of you. And who knows if anymore good maps will be put onto DayZ by the development team.

    Chernarus + ?

So i have never played DayZ but i have been watching rhinocrunch's videos on youtube and the game looks like a difficult but fun time. I am excited and want to get prepared for DayZ standalone. I am asking about two things in this article. First, is Chernarus technically the only official map for DayZ? Second, what will be the difference between Chernarus and the Chernarus Plus map that they are currently working on?

    Chernarus + ?

yeah it would also be cool to put in those extra maps like lingor island, fallujah, taviana, panthera, and utes on the standalone. I can see for people who have never played dayz wanting more than just the Chernarus+ map. In fact, even the veterans who have been playing on chernarus are probably going to start getting bored of it.

    Chernarus + ?

So It will be more like on lingor island where pretty much every building except for a few will be enterable. That's really awesome. And good there actually adding more map space even though it looks like it takes forever to get from place to place.
