I was playing DayZ one day, and by one day i mean 20 minutes ago. I had just spawned, I was trying out Lingor Island, I spawned near another survivor, who turned out to be friendly. He wasnt very good with guns but he knew the area better than I did. So we talked a bit and an explosion of smoke appeared in front of us, it turned out to be nothing but we were still suspicious, we got to a nearby mountain and looked around, we saw some huts, he said there was a race track or something there, not much gear there, but i suggested we go there hoping to find gas and a toolbox. So right before we went we noticed the wreck of a plane with someone walking away from it, we followed the other survivor but didnt actually find him. We didnt check the plane because it looked like he cleaned it out and it was wrecked anyway. We kept hearing helicopters, we saw a little bird land on a hill and a blackhawk flew by. The little bird took off again as i said "They're landing! :D" so we both thought they dropped a sniper off on the hill. We went up and found no one but another cloud of smoke appeared and we thought we were being followed, we assumed it was the guy we saw by the plane wreck, but we ignored it and it didnt happen later. So after the cloud of smoke disapeared the server restarted and we both got back on, but we saw a helicopter crash in the distance, we got there with no problems and i got hold of a ghillie suit and a sniper for the first time in DayZ. He took some medical equipment, i took some too, which was all in a cardboard box. I asked if he was a good sniper and he said no, but i was okay at it. So we went back to the hill and saw a town in front of us, a few zombies came up behind us and we ran straight into town (YES it was a bad idea) After running along through the town we got seperated. I went back on the hill and looked for him, turns out he died but spawned close, he got back and had his friend with him, they were in town while i was in the hills, i made it to them where they were attacked by zombies on a bridge, we couldnt kill them all so we ran like hell again. After running for half a mile and our soda supply was dangerously low we stumbled upon an airstrip. We ran into the main building, zombies barged through the door, i heared someones pistol fire but it wasnt any of us, i got on the roof and looked around, i kept hearing my friends firing at zombies downstairs when i was shot in the head, the last words i heard was my friend yelling "NOOOOOOO Ryan!!" I dont know if my friends made it out alive, but I wish them the best. This was my DayZ story. P.S. I couldnt reconnect because there was an error in the server, it kept kicking anyone who tried to rejoin.
